You are right, corps couldn't possibly form out of game alliances. Then same blob would happen.

Notice how most power blocs have multiple Allied Alliances in them?

Remember how IG Alliances didn't exist for the first 18 months of the game?

I wonder how people in different Corps could ever work together without the IG Alliance system.
