What would happen if Null Sec had no Local?

What would happen if Null Sec's local were removed and made like WH space?

1. Would it effect the big alliances? Sovereignty?
2. How would it change fleet combat? What fleet combat tatics would change?
3. How would it change small gang/solo combat? Would small gang tatics change?
4. How would it effect hot drops and capital ship combat?
5. Would null sec be more fun or less fun? Would it attract more players or less players?

For starters, it would likely make everyone a LOT more paranoid :)

Hey a thread about nullsec-with-no-local.

I would definitely have a harder time multiboxing all the ships when I rat, that's for sure.

Well for one we would not have any more threads pondering this dead horse......

Instead we would have threads asking to put local back.....

They have the numbers to not care
2. How would it change fleet combat? What fleet combat tatics would change?
Mainly fast detection of incoming threats
3. How would it change small gang/solo combat? Would small gang tatics change?
Probably would be hard to find fights reliably
4. How would it effect hot drops and capital ship combat?
Not much, since one involved simply finding something to hotdrop (Structure) and the other involves large fleet battles
5. Would null sec be more fun or less fun? Would it attract more players or less players?
Same amount of players (Camps), less fun(Being paranoid all the time)

Depends if they replace the probing/D-scan system. If not then it will be terrible. The reason WH can get away with it is due to low traffic and non static entry points.

I would try to talk my corp into just moving into a WH. It'd be safer.

We would all drown in Nullbear tears, with them telling us how they lost the ability to run away at the first sign of a non-blue.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

They could look at potentially having w-space local in 0.0 until sov is claimed and upgraded to level 1 or 2...

It would give alliances who want local the option of having it work and those who don't will simply not bother installing the upgrade. Would be interesting to see which kind of 0.0 would thrive best.

Nullsecers would simply move PvE alts to hisec to run incursions (which are risk-free and provide similar levels of income to nullsec.) Nothing else would change, short of nullsec being largely quiet when nobody is forming up for a big timer.

"Risk- free"? Shocked

Were you able to keep a straight face when you typed that? I shouldn't need to remind you that EVE has risk involved every time you hit the undock button.

People would rat in destroyers and actually learn to use D-scans, cloaks, and safespots. Or what's left of the PvE out there would die while the number of null alts farming in empire would shoot through the roof. Nullsec would be a lot like lowsec at that point, with players saying, "yeah, in the old days people would do plexes, rat, and mine here."

yeah uh nobody can say with a straight face that there is any significant risk involved in hisec incursion running
