^ this. No killmails, but being a good logistics pilot is one of the most celebrated roles you can possibly be outside of FCing. If you're a good logi pilot, there will always be a spot for you in any fleet or alliance.

Unless of course you're talking logistics in terms of moving stuff around.

I was doing logistics (the moving stuff one) for a medium sized pirate corp I used to be part of for a while - to my surprise, It felt quite rewarding, too - always made me feel a little like Santa.

But yeah, flying logistics is way more fun than just DPS dealing - I don't care about killmails anyway. Also flying Triage Carriers were pretty much the only Situations in which I had fun with capital ships.

Actually, you could get km in logistic ships, for example, by using combat drones.
Just a taste of preference, some logi pilots prefer to whore on mails, some prefer to stay unnoticed.
Oh, and btw, logi are not always allowed to aggress, because when you aggress, you can't jump/dock, you might be dead, and dead logi is bad logi Smile

Honored are the dead, for their legacy guides us.

I've had several months where I got on more kms in a Logi than any other ship.
Toss out 1 (so you have spares when it dies) Warrior 2 and slave it to a DPS ship for Basi/Guardian in big fleets.
Put a small gun in your spare High for Scimis (in smaller gangs, it can even be worth fitting a point. Never not tackle.)

I trained up to Logi 5 for a Guardian and a Scimi. They are fun. Most fun I had (and this will sound stupid) is cap chaining with a domi on my Guardian and putting reppers on a buncha miners in a belt XD My miner was one of the miners.

I have flown PvE and PvP fleet logistics, most recently for some large PvP fleets.

It’s a critical element of our fleets but is not always perceived as as sexy a role as the pew-pew ships. As a combat fleet logi you can be very, very busy, spreading your love to those in need. You also get primaried by the enemy fleet all-too-often which, at least, shows they fully appreciate the importance of logi support.

You can, and do get onto KMs, usually via your drones (EC Hornets or Warrior IIs) but sometimes via a smartbomb. In one fleet I managed to get onto more blue than enemy kills, thru accidental activation of my SB and having my drones set to aggressive. I pulsed all nearby with the SB, and then my drones wandered around afterwards, automatically adding their own damage to those I had already ‘attacked’. It was very humiliating to see those KMs afterwards.
To improve your KB showing, and keep the click factor down and focussed on your primary role, it’s easiest to allocate your drones to one of the DPS guys … then your drones automatically head off and inflict their little bit of hurt on whatever is the current fleet primary.

Relatively, PvE logistics is a walk-in-the-park unless you have a logi-pilot in your fleet who has exaggerated his skills, fitting, or competence to get into the fleet. When an incursion logi fails things can unravel very quickly and very messily. The most common misrepresentation, at least when I used to run incursions, was to have the logi V skill trained … when, in fact, is was in training. You’d setup your logi wing based on each needing one cap-feed to permarun, only to find that is not how things worked out. Like I said, messy.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.
