I somehow doubt it would be in the nex; seems redundant.

I'd bet on it being an LP reward or a rare drop.

If that was the case I wouldn't buy it no matter how expensive it turned out to be. The whole point of the monocle is *someone* paid $60 to buy PLEX for it.

TBH we could do with a more expensive item in the range of maybe 50,000-200,000 AUR, but it would have to be VERY bling, and much better than the current Monocle. The Black Monocle unfortunately wouldn't work as it is not bling enough.

I had a monocle at one point.

I paid the equivalent of two plex for it (1 billion isk at the time)

Right now you could buy one off of the market for the price of two plex; wheras the actual conversion would take 4.

Due to it being an unpopular item the real-world-value has already halved to $30.

Prices change; not everyone who has one paid $60 for it.

Nope. The monocle is always going to be worth what it would cost to buy the PLEX or AUR tokens with real money to create it. Market dynamics in-game have nothing to do with that.

Hardly.

I can buy one for $35 right now.

Buy a GTC through shattered crystal.

Get two plex, sell them, buy a monocle.

Pretty straight-forward.

Ignoring an intermediate currency doesn't make your $30 monocle worth more just because you could pay more for it.

Also, keep in mind, you can get bulk discounts on AUR and plex. The tokens themselves don't have a flat rate value.

Make it animated and have laser beams coming out of it or something! That would A) leech everyone's bandwidth and B) Be OK cause it cost 100k AUR!

Some of us want additional avatar content. Mistakes are made. I don't see the point in wearing the monocle in protest.

I'll take the monocle off only because I'm afraid you'd force a portrait reset on my character and I'd lose my original portrait settings Ugh
