1.8 prob decryptors? Why so expensive?

It may be that my database of items is limited... but I'd be curious if anyone knows of ANY items for which invention is improved (either in EV per invention attempt or in profitability throughput due to speed) by using the 1.8prob decryptor. Not asking for trade secrets or anything but I can't find a single one and it appears to have been a persistent market anomaly since I got into the game.
