graphics problems on exit and alt+tab

So ALMOST every time I exit EVE, my screen goes bonkers. It's similar to (but not identical) to a full palette swap of the entire windows environment. Lots of pinks and reds. Nearly impossible to read text. I can change the graphics resolution and switch it back or put the computer in stand by and then re-awaken it to fix it (of course, none of that really helps me with the alt+tab behavior). Any ideas.
