My combat ships are mostly references to various mythology - mostly greek, and some others thrown in for good measure.

Eurydice's Plight - Omen
Vulcan's Forge - Prophecy (Destroyed)
Endymion's Trial - Harbinger
Avalon's Call - Arbitrator
Selene's Light

And then for some reason my industrials all get dumber names:

Zeistgeiler / Zeistgeiler Duece - Many of my drone ships. Named after a character I played in a game a long time ago. Drones were flying weapons based on the other weapons in game. Fusion, laser, bullet, and kamikazee bombs. Drone users were also called Riggers. As in rigormortis, refering to the flesh as a meat sack.

And last but not least:
Tako - Noctis named the Japanese word for octopus. 5 tractors and 3 salvage all going at once. mmmmm.

All my ships are named after pop culture items that are somewhat relevant. My exploration ship is The Dr. Jones (Indiana Jones), my Cargo ship is named the Nostromo (Alien) and another named the Sulaco (Aliens)

And I have my second Brutix after having one destroyed named The White Hot Room and 10 pts to anyone who can tell me that reference!

I usually use the Canadian naval naming convention for larger (BC+) ships, and then the name reflective of something about them. Examples:

Widow -- HMCS Huecuva (<--- you are a proper geek if you can catch the reference, and its specifics. Kickin' it old-school, biotches!)
Shield/NanoPest -- HMCS Razorwing
Mission Mael -- HMCS Mount Royal
One of many Drakes -- HMCS Majestar

Cruiser and down, I have a little fun with it sometimes.

Tengu -- Caldari Shuttle
Falcon -- Lyrrashae's Ibis
Rapier -- I Web'z You'ze!
Crow -- Cake?
Cheetah -- I Find'z You'ze!

i usually name them after some characteristic of the ship, be it physical looks or the way it flys. My machariel is named "camel toe" for instance, and my vindi is the "Chin wobbler".

My favourite ship - the proteus - is named "Noisy Cricket". :)

All of my ships are called "I love men, PM me"

My CEO moved them for me and re-named them all and i cant be bothered to change them back. He is still waiting for the day that someone D-scans and does PM me

My random names.

One is a shoutout to a ganker that's tried to attack me a few times. But I don't think he'll see it because that would require targeting the ship. Maybe if he Dscans me.
