max mach skills

Question for all mach pilots out there.
I have good mach skills

Currently pumping out 1000.1 dps with t1 ammo, and 2 damage implants, one a plus 5% the other a plus 3%.
Is it worth it to go out and get auto-cannon spec 5 and cybernetics 5, so i can install 2 +6% and get another 2% bunus from spec level 5.

Basically, 40 days for 6% bonus.
Also looking at adding t2 gardes to the setup, eventually pop out around 1298 dps with guns+drones.

Is it worth it?

nothing, still searching for other ships that will outperform the mach. cant find one until they re-balance marauders.

I'd do gallente bs5 before any of that, gives a nice damage projection boost while spec 5 is near worthless. cybernetics 5 is a nice skill no matter what you fly. Gallente bs5 + Trajectory Analysis 5 is 15% extra falloff.

if this is the only ship you lan on flying in the next 6-12 months then yes skilling up all skilsl youneed for it to 5 is a must.
gunnery related skills.
battleships
drones where possible
navigation.
core ship skills
large specs to 4 at the very least.

Add signature analysis V for quicker lock time too.

Quick answer, yes.

More DPS is allways better than less DPS, and like all Pirate BS's the Mach needs at or max skills to really justify it's cost.

As others above me have said, get the racial BS skills to V, get Trajectory Analysis to V (you are in a projectile ship, this should be at V before anything else), Cyber V to allow tasty damage implants, max T2 gunnery skills, then Drones.

My 2 cents worth.

In theory the Vindicator outperforms it with drone damage mods in the lows, shieldtank and rails with javelin ammo. Probably poor in practice though. Maybe I'll buy one sometimes just for trying out.

Shield NI Domi and Nightmare can both perform at or above the level of a Mach, depending on the targets. look into those.
