Well. Dreadnoughts will have more DPS than SCs. Dreads costs much cheaper, less spending time for building and they have full insurance.

Then what motherships left to do in this way? Exactly: nothing.

From what range? and in what mode? Which means they cannot be 'what' to their safespot?

The immobile unreppable undockable dreadnaught with 20% of the ehp can do more dps at very short range while running out of cap, how terrible.

No.

There is no need for any super-capital to be capable of docking. Simple solution, just don't fly what you can't afford to replace.

Not being a fan of this epic carrier nerf, I support this.

Ship can't dock, need another account to help move it around the map ... fools and their money.

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.  - William Pitt

Docking them is obviously not a good idea, but what about parking them in space? Either give them the ability to cloak once you park them at a safe spot, or give them one hell of a shield when in parked mode and send "under attack" mails to the owning corp if it comes under attack, like a POS.

A mechanic like this could also be of use if you want it to be more like the motherships of old should have been. A movable base that can be used for a nomadic lifestyle. You can leave it unattended while you use some other ship from its maintenance bay.

They will be a ship with a quite decent role of beein an anti sov ship with a somewhat secondary role of killing caps.
No other ship in EVE will be better for the anti sov thing, I dont really see why they should be allowed to dock just because they are crap for things they should not be good for in the first place.

You do see the irony of "using a ship for a nomadic lifestyle" thats requires Sov to build ?

Ever heard of a little thing called trading (as in you can buy stuff instead of building it yourself)? I've heard it's pretty big in EVE...

What nerf? They are still heaps more powerful than the Motherships ever where and people were more than happy to park them at POS back then ...

The only difference between now and then is that we have 6-7 times as many SC's floating around so parking lots are going to be at a premium. You rode the FoTM horse knowing full well that it would fall, break a leg and put to sleep .. complaining at this point is kind of silly.

What you should do is give constructive feedback on the changes to help make them useful/worthwhile without being OP, not cry about the price of milk after you have emptied your glass.

Ok you dont see it, its ok, dont think too much about it its going to make your head hurt.
But you should keep in mind that CCP is in general pretty blunt about telling you what ships should do.
You will probably notice that battleships for example arent really meant to be scouts: I know the speed really does give it away but some people may find it tricky to figure out anyway.

Supercapitals for example have this small, absolutely unimportant, attribute of not beeing able to use gates. The fact that you can not move such a ship without the help of other persons might be a hint that those ships arent meant for solo use. Well everybody got cyno alts today but this upcomming nerf supports the point of beeing a ship for group use by greatly nerfing your ability to kill ships that can tackle you. Thats were you probably want other people to help you right ?

Now why again would you need a feature to use a ship solo if its not designed for solo use in the first place?
