if you are talking about the "WE WERE GANKED" page, that looks more like a server glitch (IIS is ugly) than a coding error.
But it's true that it happens too often...

Hitting the backpage on your browser will recover the text, most of the time. This is with Chrome.

Next time, just ctrl-A to select all and ctrl-c (or ctrl-insert) to copy the text to your clipboard buffer. ctrl-v (or shift-insert) to paste it back in.

Install a browser with a back button and you won't lose your 'well thought out' posts.

I have firefox , it does have a back button, however pressing back sends me to an empty text field.

Also if you do take too long writing a post and hit "post" it still sends me to an empty text field - I think it has something to do with an automatic logout or something?

Yes I know that I can copy paste the post, it's just that sometimes I forget and I shouldn't need to do that.

Also - why in hell's name doesn't the forum resize to fit the browser window width ?

Because CCP are incompetent.

If you use chrome and use the back button it retains your posted text ^__~
