You better not count on going to bootcamp to fix a stability issue. Last night we had a 5 hour POS bash. Several people on the windows client had crashes and had to relog, or re-boot, while I, on a Mac, had no issues at all.

Being on windows is no guarantee of stability.

I really think the issue here is differences in people's setup: computer, RAM, other software installed on their machine, internet connection, and what else is running. Why else would some be having such terrible issues, while I and others run almost flawlessly? Many Devs and bug hunters use Macs, and they cannot reproduce these issues. They are running well too.

Here is a suggestion: All who are having issues: Apply to be a bug hunter. Yeah, yeah, "doing CCP's job". But Ive heard there are benefits.

I've been doing the same thing over and over again today to force the freezes to appear and it seems to be happening to me whilst getting 'the asteroid has been depleted' notification. I turned off multithreaded opengl option as well as the sound for EVE and things seem to be more stable now. At least no crashes within the last half hour which is good considering it was every 10 minutes previously.

I'll keep running this and do what i've been doing all day to trigger crashes to see if this has been the issue.

What happens to me is that EVE Client just Freezes (=no crash report generated?). Graphics freezes, music sticks like a broken CD, takes no input whatsoever, not even the window-buttons. And it needs be closed using 'Force Quit'. Happens so often cannot really play at all.

I have an iMac (and Macbook pro with same problem)
Processor: 2.93 GHz Intel COre 2 Duo processor
OS: 10.7.4
RAM: 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
V-Card: NVIDA GeForce GT 120 256 MB

I am chiming in here because i have had the frequent freezing issue with no crash report.

As stated elsewhere, I realized I was running a torrent client while it was freezing. I closed this torrent client and was able to play for several hours without a crash.

Problem solved - for me. I encourage others with the freezing issue to check and make sure there isn't something running that can make network connections - this might even include browsers.

Not running my torrent client while playing Eve is an easy enough workaround, but i would really like to see a fix to this. Has this issue been acknowledged as a bug with plans to fix?

My brother had that problem on a Mac Mini, but it went away and now it usually crashes every 20 minutes or so, but without any need to restart the computer. Or at least that was the status a month ago. He stopped playing for now.

On my iMac it is more stable now. When I use the memory optimization setting I only get a crash a day, if I use the quality setting it crashes more often. I never need to restart the computer though.
