Only thing that was a pain back when I first started was no training skill que. I do not think anyone needs to go through that hell of setting your alarm to switch skills.

Learning skills.

Having 1b was better than average, having 5b was closing in on rich.

Having HG slaves/crystals etc. plugged in was a big deal.

Losing a mothership, much less a titan, was worthy of a large forum thread.

That was a good thing.

It gave travel risk and reward.

Getting up at 4 in the morning, having to walk 5 miles to the pits come rain ,snow or sunshine. 14 hours at the coalface, then walking 5 miles back home and eating dinner then a few hours in front of eve before bed. Just to start it all over again not enough days in the week.

You only realise you life has been a waste of time, when you wake up dead.

Sounds more like lag inducing tedium if it could be bypassed by such a simple though initially time consuming manner.
