Also imo the only super-frequent forum posters worth of note are:

Akita T for the extremely in depth, knowledgeable posts he/she could produce, often with some good numbers to back them up.
Malcanis for good posting and something I dare call "wisdom infused" in them.

Liang Nuren is OK too but is somewhat distant to the above two.

That's it.

Others like Tippia have huge quantiy (which for me is not a dignyfying factor at all) and can produce tons and tons of arguments for arguments sake but poor didactical value compared to Akita T.

Good qualities about super-frequent predictable posters like Tippia and Ruby Porto is their manipulation possibilities. IE Tippia basically auto-perma-arguments-bumped two patch speculation threads for me, Ruby Porto 1.

You should see Akita's latest endeavor in OOPE against the guy who doesn't understand how random works. 2 threadnaughts comprising almost entirely of those 2 and he just started a third that I'm sure Akita (and Floppy) will contribute to with due dedication. Personally, I don't have that kind of stamina.

Anyway - I often don't look at a posts author unless I think it's an exceptionally good or bad post, in general, those that caught my attention as making good posts on a regular basis are Tippia and Malcanis, the bad ones are on my block list, but I wont mention any names.

Your likes/post ratio is exceptional at 1.3839, and for a reason imho :)

Tippia: 0.3707 l/p
Malcanis 0.2180
Liang: 0.0934

I'm surprised that baltec1 is only ranked #45 @ 8261 posts, with a l/p of 0.2230

(personally very relieved that I'm not even in the top 1000, I still have a life \o/ )

likes are an odd thing. my serious/helpful posts almost never get likes and my joke/troll posts get likes Roll

Not really, no. It's never for argument's sake — it's pretty much always about accuracy and about exposing the other party as an ignorant hack that has no arguments. It just takes a while to make them run the full circle and have them run out of evasion tactics.

VV Thinks that the Mackinaw's price spike that he took advantage of was due to the threads discussing it's tank. So he built a bunch or something.

Me, I just bought a buncha Skiffs and sold them at twice what I paid.

Absolutely true, they are spacebook likes anyway. And just like on the failbook, people don't take anything seriously.

What I noticed is, when I read a good, but long post, I simply forget to like it... most quickly liked posts are short and funny or otherwise "likable* in a way.

Thank you Chribba for those intersting stats.

A thought just occured to me, wouldn't it be interesting if CCP gave out medals to the "winners" of each catagory of posting? One for longest contributer maybe, another for most constant within a time period, most likes and whatnot.
