Dear players, the servers will be closing in 19 minutes for a short unscheduled reboot at GMT 20:35. Please make sure your characters are out of harm's way before the servers close.






PATCH DAY GJ CCP still can't code...

Really point of test server is?

also

inb "blah blah we can only tell when 20k people get logged in"

World of tanks test server... 20k people cap...and yes it hits that... maybe like idk... maybe make a reason to test ****.

honestly, you're crying about them fixing things.... i bet you'd be just as quick to cry if your account suddenly lost all it's assets because of a patch deployment, wouldn't you?

To be honest, it's pretty rare for a major patch to go through perfectly on the first try. There's always going to be some rebooting. Can anyone remember the last time there wasn't?

Comparing World of Tanks to EVE makes anything you say in the future completely irrelevant. Stop whining when a developer fixes issues with their game.

OH please tell me what they fixed

****** with mining barges so people can solo AFK play in a MMO (go to low / null mine watch local or go into a ret etc that people do not care to gank as much)

Added some ****** up tip pop up over the guns that had ONE useful thing *RANGE* everything else could be found else where...

Really they broke **** and fixed nothing.

That pop up was not a broken thing so yea let me know what they fixed lol

UI blows balls since how many patchs ago

Interestingly, using WoT:

After their last patch/expansion they needed two unscheduled reboots.

1 reboot ever since a patch was put out...

Game supports more people than eve and the whole "1 shard" thing is pointless eve has way more than one server... and once everyone piles onto one it lags to **** and used to crash out... so I am sure i will hear that dumb **** but lol... on the back end the ONLY difference is server load... nothing more.

Ya why test **** if it is broken anyways?

Comparing a mmo to a mmo = no? lawl... ah noobs who think eve is epic or something.

It's a common misconception that WoT is shardless.

The Community server is Shardless; Battles are sharded - this is why they don't enable company chat in battles as there's no infrastructure.

And why battles take 30 seconds to start.

Hmmm, like all software, bug/issue found after release. Developer immediately does what is needed to fix bug/issue and get the game going again. Predictably, trolls complain game is down for a short period of time to address and fix bug/issue.

I like how you're COMPLAINING about the devs added a useful feature that actually works as intended on day one. Lets all ask CCP to NOT stream line the UI with features like this, great plan.

let me explain something very simple about software testing to you.. this is particularly true with MMOs


SMALL SCALE TESTING ON THE TEST SERVER DOESN'T CATCH EVERYTHING - AND NO MATTER HOW MANY PILOTS SIGN IN FOR A "MASS TEST" THE TEST SERVER IS ALWAYS SMALL SCALE COMPARED TO LIVE

i have explained the math many times.. it is a mathematical impossibility for everything to be caught on the test server.


however if any freaking incursion, fw, 0.0 anom, or w-space people would have actually bothered to log onto the test server this probable would have been found - assuming it wasn't an issue that was endemic to the particular Tranquility cluster (like a critical switch going flakey and breaking communications that control site respawns, etc).


TL;DR - don't talk about software testing unless you ******* know something about it.

PS: give me all your stuff.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

Ok lets see what exciting things you do in WoT? - shoot each other in what 32/32 people?

What can we do in EVE - **** load of stuff all interconnected. Compare EVE to a proper game next time. Oh and 1500/1500 fights...

Did you submit any constructive feedback to the development group on this latest patch?

Somehow I think the answers to both of these questions is NO. So please find a nice rock...crawl back under it.

I demand immediate perfection in all things from CCP, with no chance for any human error to let bugs through to TQ, but god help me if I'm ever going to join in any mass tests that are meant to allow CCP to stress test patches before they go live. Roll
