We now know about carebear moments leading players to act in a self destructive and illogical way, but carebears can also form bonds over the loss of space pixels. This is called carebear synthesis. Unlike bonds based on teamwork and learning, which are mutually beneficial, carebear synthesis is based on shared ignorance and fear of unknown things. When carebear synthesis meets a carebear moment, you get a complete forum disaster! Remember that equation, you'll need it later.

Oh, they did. The new barges are bloody amazing.

But the sheer number of people bitching about having to "downgrade" to make use of afk solo mining was hilarious.

Oh, and the loss of usefulness for Cargo rigs upset quite a few aswell.

Best thing I read was "Cargo rigs are useless? What the hell! Those things were expensive! They cost me 25mil!"

And replaced it with a much larger ore hold. Which, while it can't be upgraded, is still friggin' huge. 35k m3 space is awesome.

they did, but just not the way they wanted it to be. the so-called nerf just makes it that the hulks cargo, not ore hold mind you, isn't really expandable for solo mining. The mackinaw is now the solo miner's ship with, an insignificant amount, less yield than the hulk.

Dont know why there are tears. The hulk got a significant boost. It can now mine everything better than any ship in the game (Ore, Ice, Mercoxit).

I think the tradeoff is worth it. Really the only thing that got nerfed for the Hulk is the cargo/ore hold. Defenses remained relatively in tact.
