The same thing we do everyday: Try and unsub the world.

Does CCP actually pay attention to subscription numbers? These threads pop up almost every day, but I’m curious as to if there’s any real significance behind it.

I unsub every month, usually on two accounts. I keep my main active, but I resub and then immediately cancel my alts every month, just so I don’t end up with unexpected bills for them. Sometimes I end up buying a plex in-game or finding that I don’t really need them. I’ve even done the same with my main a few times, when funds were tight.

With people like me around, does CCP actually even care about the number of accounts being unsubbed? Or am I just an outlier?

Not a forum alt.

their tools can probably tell the difference between what you're doing, and someone who actually subs. something to do with the time account is ineligible to login being zero :P

you show up as "payment type settings churn" not "unsubs"

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

I didn't think of that. Though the effort required to generate that sort of trend information seems like very appropriate resource-wasting for CCP.

Not a forum alt.

There's too much of an emphasis on subscription numbers, I think. The real question is the quality of the game. If the game is solid, people will play it. Trying to chase after casual gamers may be counterproductive in the long run anyway.

Most people who say they are going to unsub are just butt hurt and need a place to vent. They do this on the forums, then go right back to running missions in highsec.

FC, what do?

I'm a casual gamer, been a customer for over 6 years and I have 5 accounts now. Is that counterproductive?

Also, aren't you supposed to be banned? Don't act like we don't know who you are Roll

I bet CCP see the unsub threads, look up the account of the person who says they unsubbed, then sit together and laugh when the person resubs a week later after their little tantrum is over.

Well, that's what I would do anyway.

Also keep in mind that many of these posters who go on about quitting usually state this fact for the next 3 months straight or they leave for a month and then make a I'm back thread.

Accusing me of being an alt? How novel. Whose alt am I this time? Smile

management and investors would disagree with your definition of time wasting.

it is also a trivial amount of effort.
