All of our good posters are sadly gone now that the ISDs have carte blanche to ban everyone they dont like.

I have to say, the idiot(s) who decided volunteer moderation would be a good idea needs a good kick in the head. Take a page from Blizzard: force your moderators to A. not participate in discussion and B. hire them and make them adhere to strict criteria for moderation.

Letting any tool who can speak english as a second language dictate the fate of our most blessed and precious posters is just wetodded

Normally I would just moderate your post, but I feel a reply would be better. First of all no ISD member has ever or will ever have the ability to ban someone from the forums. That task has always been performed by CCP staff who make very thorough checks, this is common knowledge.

Secondly, making threats of violence, or inciting violence against any member of staff is most definitely against the forum rules and a breach of the EULA that you signed when you joined the EVE community. It will not be tolerated. As to taking a page from Blizzards books, as has been stated before we in the ISD have to sign NDA's and follow exactly the same guidelines and rules as any other member of CCP staff.

If you feel that any member of the ISD is not doing their job properly, feel free to file a petition in game under the community tab.

In future, please post responsibly, thank you - ISD Type40.

Oh, wow. Great find! Looks like I'll have to make an edit, Pipa Porto manages to spike at a redonculous 154 posts in a single day!

Does anyone else even come close to these stats? Again, constant is the key word, not total volume, but its nice to see both representations.

One, I'm surprised you didn't know about his alt.

Two, Is anyone else curious as to what Pipa said that equated to no lube for this guy?

Dark Shikari is #2. LOL. Work harder, Tippia! The guy ahead of you hasn't posted for four years!
To be fair, it was quite spectacular when Akita T finally managed to get past him a year or so ago. But yes, DS's posting stats are… impressive… most impressive. Lol
…at least I have more likes than Akita, because those mean something, right? Right…?!. *grumble grumble* Cry

Well, my posting rate has gone down significantly since these new forums are up, so it's quite understandable Blink
Not THAT much time for EVE lately (including new job schedule), so you should eventually catch up to me just fine Lol

I think he means LIKES per post Blink

But statistic pages (refreshed once per day) with:
- top post count in last month / 6m / 12m / all time
- top characters/post in last month / 6m / 12m / all time
- top likes received in last month / 6m / 12m / all time
- top most posts all time
- top most posts/day all time
- top likes all time
- top age of forum posters (from first post) still active in last month
...could be fun to visit occasionally.

Chribba,

total likes per total posts, or average likes per post, but in some fancy way that also accounts for the number of posts.

How many times do I have to go over this with you people. My Posting V is no different from your Posting V. Regardless of your start date you can still compete. I took a 2 year break and I'm still up in the rankings.

I don't really track likes per post, simply because I only index each post once, likes per post would require me to update/scan ALL posts all the time. Hence this will be quite impossible from my side, unless I actually re-scan all posts that I check - which in that case only happens as long as the thread stays on the first page (or in some foums, the first 3 pages).

I do however track likes overall, so that I think is the closest we can come - you could always use that to divide by total number of posts to get a sort of "like average" however we'd need to get a formula to use to make it usable, else you'd get someone to make one post and get 10 likes on that and you'd have a pretty good average compared to those of us that posted well before likes were introduced.

Are you planning on adding a rankings page to eve-search?

Well that's because Dark Shikari wasn't human. Even so I figure if Floppy ups his post per day but a factor of 8 he should be able to close the gap very quickly.

Apparently I bounced up to 322 in the past hour.

Chribba: the likes/post thing could just take total likes / total posts. No need to index anything extra.

A simple list of "most likes" would be interesting as well.

Anyway - I often don't look at a posts author unless I think it's an exceptionally good or bad post, in general, those that caught my attention as making good posts on a regular basis are Tippia and Malcanis, the bad ones are on my block list, but I wont mention any names.

Your likes/post ratio is exceptional at 1.3839, and for a reason imho :)

Tippia: 0.3707 l/p
Malcanis 0.2180
Liang: 0.0934

I'm surprised that baltec1 is only ranked #45 @ 8261 posts, with a l/p of 0.2230

(personally very relieved that I'm not even in the top 1000, I still have a life \o/ )

If you're going to look at likes / post ratio, you should only look at posts since likes were implemented. That ratio is going to look much better for younger posters.

Lyris Nairn is the top likes with over 10,000 likes and Mag's coming in 2nd with almost 10,000, Tippia is soon passing 9000 as 3rd.
