Yep, this thread sure needed to be bumped.

Good news everyone! I've invented a module that helps you escape from wormholes faster! I call it "The Self Destruct Button"!

Not sure if I should like or dislike this post for tying a Cyndi Lauper song into a troll post about wormholes.

I actually did get stuck in a C5 last week. Well sort of at least.

I was working from home, which obviously means EVE breaks during the day. I logged in to find I had a C5 connection and a tengu running my sites. (C3). Nobody else was around so I waited for the salvager, since I didnt have the firepower to take on the Tengu.

Sadly that salvaging dessie was stabbed and slipped away from my stealth bomber. I got bored so I scouted their C5 and found it was huge. They were all POS'd up, and the POs was off dscan from the WH so i figured I'd just collapse it.

Jumped the Orca through a couple times. Just as I was about to make the last jump I thought to check cargo. Yep had a probe launcher but where were the probes? Loaded up probes "just in case"

Well they must have jumped more through than I realized because sure enough POP, im in their C5, with them active, and me in an orca.

I knew I'd have to scan their new C3 FAST. If they got it first I'd never get out.

BTW a C5 with C3 static, that static is a tough one to scan down. 8 probes out and I just barely got a lock.

Warped, jumped. Luckily the new C3 was a HS static. quickly scanned down the exit and made it back to HS.

Feeling extra lucky I then proceeded to tempt fate by scouting the orca thru LS back home.

So, just remember that the next time you take a quick work at home EVE lunchbreak. It could end up eating more like 90 minutes. :-)
