Life of the glorious leader

Im Lord Vaari! Earl of Sosan VII, archbishop of the Church of Providence, Guardian angel of the Providence, Golden mountain, Self proclaimed prophet, Skilled miner, Great industrialist, Speaker of unquestioned truth, Teacher of faith, Carrier of the Heaven's light, Beacon of righteousness, Founder of the Imperial Pharmacy, Despot of the Imperial Pharmacy, Sanctifier of the R3 Jump bridge device and many more impressive titles.

I wish to speak you all low peasants about what is it to be a glorious and revered leader.

Many men dream about becoming mighty leader like me. They plan how they live luxuriously, impress other great men like Sir Daedalus of the CVA with their titles and position, and how they celebrate with other, high social ranking members on private parties.

While we have indeed some luxury in our lives, like my corporation pays my PLEX needs, our duty is hard to bear. Do not envy your superiors, for unlike you, low peasant, he or she does not enjoy your liberty to follow orders and probably prosper atleast moderately because of that. We, the ruling class bear heavy burden to oversee wellbeing of our subjects. It is up to us to decide where our limited resources are spend, and how much is reserved to compensate the need of crisis management.

I have more experience than most of the leaders combined, and I, mighty Lord Vaari Valius, earl of Sosan VII, have many times witnessed how low peasants think my position, and my collegiues is to only collect money of our subjects and enhoy them. That is not true. We, who may claim title of responsible ruler, will bury ourselves with other problems, and use much of our times to plan the dangerous future, so our humble and ignorant subject might live happily and without difficulties. Problems of the world are ourt to bear, not our members.

I hope all you low peasants would consider, when you question your lord and master next time.

Fear the God and honor the Empress!

Lord Vaari,

While I think your approach could use a bit of refinement, particularly in the realms of diplomacy and broad appeal, the message is sound. It is good when leaders understand they bear burden and responsibility for those under their charge and the call to remain just and righteous is a difficult and ever-present challenge.

I, Halete, Child of Matar, speaker with imaginary phantasms, Balmung of the sub-clan, great heathen, self-proclaimed Mr Federation YC 114, fledgling Frigate pilot, meddling marketeer, speaker of tired sophistry, teacher of faith, carrier of the Voluval, beacon of savagery, founder of EoKI, bather in mud, winner of the annual Muerto growling competition for four consecutive years, fantastic practitioner of picking things up and putting them down, gravity-defying Ruhste dancer and many more impressive titles...

Think that the impact of such a succinct message is somewhat diluted when you dedicate this much time to chest-beating.

Well said, my lord!

Being in charge of other people can be a lot of work sometimes, especially when the children find their way into other people's hangars and paint pictures on their ships.

...Forgive me, sir, but I'm not sure I quite understand the intention behind this post. Why do you refer to yourself as a "Golden Mountain", a "Despot", and a "Self-proclaimed Prophet" despite the ridiculous and/or negative connotations of these terms? Why do you use the term "Peasant" despite it having fallen out of popular use in all cultures for hundreds of years?

I thought your sentiment might be intended to be taken ironically or as humour at the expense of Amarrian culture, but others appear to be addressing it seriously. Could you, or someone else, please clarify?

You forgot "Queen of Hashbrowns" and "Freakin Little Buttface", as per your corporate titles.

If he were a proper leader he'd be holed up in a monastery somewhere contemplating what's best for those under his care rather than making up ever more grandiose titles for himself and proclaiming how great he is. The righteous leader is also humble Vaari.

I question the wisdom of making such a statement as this; it seems as if it did more to affirm or suggest that IPHAR exists to cover license renewal for its CEO, by means of explicitly denying it and referring to ambiguous claims of such.

That is ridiculous! Maybe humility fits on some peasant village elder, but not for the imperial nobility.

If I would refuse to take free PLEXes from my members, I think they would rebel against my rule. They demand I enjoy the fruits of their hard labor. Ask them if you dont belive me.

Im much loved in my corporation. I have suffered much for my corporation, and I share my experiences with my members every single day. They love hearing my stories and wish to show their reverence and support for me for example getting me PLEX time to time.
