PLEX still have to be bought with cash. A PLEX has no more or less intrinsic value than your cash payment. Actually, a PLEX is better for CCP because it costs more than a standard cash sub.

Barges have been changed to be situation specific not role specific. Yes the Hulk still has max yield, but only in a group situation (mining ops, 4 character boxing with 1 hulk).

Solo mining in a hulk is no longer worth it, and players will have to switch to Mackinaws. Yes the per cycle yield is less, but per hour yield is higher. In fact in nearly all situations the only players who will be negativity affected by this are the dual boxing orca/hulk pilots (who will now yield more anyways in 2 mackinaws).

Also the only skills that are different for the hulk and mackinaw and skiff is 2 levels of exhumers, both of which receive bonuses from the skill anyways.

So you're asking if training an additional 12 hours a hulk in a skill that will benefit the other 2 exhumers?

You're not whining about it losing benefits, but really are whining about how people can get higher yields with less skills trained (wow 20 days early!). it has better tank, better yield, can now yield ice more than a mackinaw, etc. It is overall a much better ship in every way. People need to pull their heads out of their asses and realize per cycle yield isn't the most important thing with a mining barges (stop focusing on per cycle, and look at per hour yields).

Hulk still are king of asteroid belts but its still expensive and risky buissnes to use it, well CCP change at last other mining barges, i think covetor got decent mining efficienty and low cost... probably a lot people chose covetor as main mining barge.

Other barges with tank bonuses and low mining efficienty are good for people who are happy with low incomes or for newbis, who like to fell safe and mining with semi afk- or more chill mode mining with decent cargo-tank.

At last even low tier mining barges may be very good while mining operation + orca support.

I made the mistake of asking that before to someone.

They have minor complaints the size of a splinter but they argue like they just got run through with a tree.

Its easier to just assume they want their cake and the ability to eat it too.

let's be honest the only issue with the hulk is the crystals, and since ccp aren't budging on the situation there's nothing we can do so we're going to have to deal with it. i'd love to see it increased but whatever, i play in the euro time zone so i can just cherry pick what i want and **** every one else. feel bad for the americans who log in once i'm done whoring all the good ores though.

beyond that the hulk is still the king of mining, let's face it most people put 2x mlus on it for max yield and **** the cargo space, and those who were flying max cargo hulks should have been smart enough to trade in before the patch and grabbed a mackinaw (and had isk left over).

the hulk is still a very strong mining ship; just not for mr 1 account without haulers trained.
