The only reson eve has grown is because of one thing its called multiple accounts (I have 4 of them). Retaining new players is where eve fails miserably.

Again, EVE has grown every year. WoW has shrunk. WoW holds your hand and has a very low death penalty. It has arena PVP, it has safe areas where you are immune to attack. It has ALL the things you idiot pubbies wish for in EVE, except a growing player base.

I somehow don't think that CCP will shoot themselves in the head by trying to follow a flawed model which would mean the end of the game and of CCP for that matter. If you want a safe game with no risk, go play WOW. Please, please GTFO of EVE before you DO turn it into WOW and the game dies.

The harder you make EVE, the more people will play it. The people who leave will be like you. People who should have never bought a sub in the first place.

Personally I can't wait for the mining barge changes. You moron pubbies will still not tank them and you will still be ganked. You will mine in hulks not realizing that their EHP has been nerfed, but you will anyhow because "Oh! My isk/hr!!" and then you will come back on here and the tears will flow and I shall feast! =D.

You pubbies are still going to get ganked. Your haulers will be ganked, your orcas, your freighters and all your little miners. The changes do one thing though. They make mining in 0.0 worth the time once again! But then again, 0.0 miners aren't pants on head ******** and already knew how to tank their exhumers.

I have news for you people mine in highsec more than low and null sec even if they are ganked because they can afford ganks and still make a great profit so get over it. Keep it up though I like gankers they make me isk in lost ships that I have to make for lazy miners.

You actually think high-sec mining is PROFITABLE??? I think I have heard everything now. You apparently have no idea how much ISK you can make if you actually play EVE rather than stay in the newbie areas. Why don't you give it a try sometime?

CCP would have to put all the NPC goods back in to keep the market stable.

The problem is that making hi-sec more dangerous isn't making Eve better. It's just forcing out the people that are going to play in hi-sec because they like to game more casually and with less risk involved than being in low or null. To be highly successful this game needs those types of players as well as those that drive the content in null and W-space.

There's PVP to be had in high/low if you do RvB, corp wars or faction warfare. But otherwise making hi-sec less prone to griefing is, at least IMHO, good for the game. That doesn't mean griefing should be abolished, but the cost/benefit ratio should be such that it's usually a loss to engage in activities like suicide ganking. You can do it if you really want to it, but you won't profit (unless you are able to gank a freighter full of nice goodies).

1. Ganking != Griefing. CCP is very specific about what constitutes Griefing.
2. Suicide Ganking miners operates at a loss unless the target vessel didn't bother to fit their ship, or if fitted, didn't bother to tank or otherwise protect their very expensive investment.

But...but...but...the splash screen says EVE when I log in and do level 4s and everyone says that they makes way too much money! Which is it? No money in high sec or too much money in high sec? I'm so confused now!

Making EvE harder (i'd love that to happen!) would probably half the playerbase within a week
and it'd take quite a while until more and more people would join in again.

But ... a big but ! ... it would definitely happen that more people joined,
because more and more people would get sick and tired of all these no-achievement-games out there...
