Impairor needs +5m³ cargohold

With the new stats all rookie ships can light a cyno with cynosural field theory level 4 except the impairor. To light a cyno the character needs the level 5 skill or an expanded cargohold.

We are talking about a daily routine game mechanic and a base ship. It feels more like a racial disadvantage than a balance issue.

should be changed so only role ships can deploy cynos

Who said it can't be a frigate vessel.

And don't talk you want to drop cynos with no risk by using noob frigates.

I agree with the OP, the solution is obvious, make all the stats for the rookie ships the same, give them all the same ship model and then rename them so they are all called Impairor.

There should be ABSOLUTELY NO VARIATION between the racial versions of any given ship class and tier EVAR!

why? there are still massive differences in weaponry.. both ewar and direct damage. shouldn't their ships reflect this difference.. though I'm thinking cynos are not a racially specific "weapon" and should work for all or none.

  - remove the cloaked from local; free intel is the real problem, not  "afk" cloaking -

I don't think that deciding the race should matter when someone is planning to create a specialized character (cyno alt in this case). Either remove the capability of the rookie ships to light a cyno or make them to do it with the same resources. Or let us decide which rookie ship want we to use in general.

Oh and +5m³ cargo could completely kill the diversity in the game and if CCP takes my suggestion then Eve will die...
I wouldn't think that an idea like that could upset any people :D Give me a break!

The whole concept of creating a specialized character dictates you choose carefully. Otherwise it's just a generalized character.

Posting to improve visibility of this. I'm not sure how important it is to CCP that newbie ships be able to light cynos, but it is awfully inconvenient for Amarr players.

Right now the only difference what picking a race makes is the places where you can install a medical clone from the distance. But it doesn't matter because you can install medical clones at corp hangars too. And of course roleplaying and visual differences.

I understand that 5m³ cargo feels unnecessarily little problem but technically it removes the Amarr race as a logical and potential choice when someone is planning to create a cyno alt.

With "cynosural field theory 4" the character is way under the minimum 900k skill points so they don't have to use medical services after being podded. With "cynosural field theory 5" the character will have at least 1million SP. Of course there is the plan B by using expanded cargohold but in low and null sec the market is not necessarily flooded with expanded cargohold.

That -5m³ cargohold is a little but clear disadvantage for the Amarr race :)
If the commenting players are really that concerned about diversity then give +5m³ cargohold to all of the rookie ships. That could keep the small differences and make the amarr equal in lighting a cyno with a rookie ship.

The RvB experience is rife with situations in which pilots have had to light cynos, including such space battles as

*chuckle* Well, they ARE free when you get ganked. So 3 out of 4 races currently seem to have free cyno ships, no?

I still think it should be a role only item. Newbie ships should not be able to light those up. Blink

Is this the case? If so i also vote for giving the imparior the same cargo size as the other noobships , or at least enough so they are all viable for placing cynos.

I've trained numerous of cyno pilots, and been using the noobships as my choice for cyno ships for quite some time now, and then suddenly you won't be able to place cynos with the amarr noobship? That indeed feels like the amarr gets disadvantage over the other races.
