I'm afraid CCP has changed the requirements for solo pvp. You will need at least 2 cloaky booster alts and one scout alt.

If you're just looking for pew, head to lowsec and ask for 1v1's. Insist on being in a fleet together in your safe to avoid booster/backup shenanigans, and you'll at least have warning of any shenanigans afoot when they drop fleet and can try to GTFO. I can get about 3-5 1v1's a week this way with just random people, and haven't had one dis~honoured~ yet.

It depends on what you want because piracy in my opinion differs from pvpving. Piracy for me is about doing whatever it takes to steal isk from other players. Most corps out there, say they are pirates but they are mostly pvpers.

Solo pvp isn't dead, I know a few players who do it. However, most of them have a negative income or else they are pretty damn good and use mostly cheap ships like frigates and cruisers. Where they only need a few kills to balance stuff.

If you are just looking for pvp then head up to an active low sec system and look out for targets. I must warn you that most of the times you will end up in unfair battles, against multiple enemies.

This.

Then go become a pirate. Solo piracy is very possible, don't listen to the people that say it's not.

You just got to pick your targets, learn from your mistakes, and don't make them again.

Also, honor your ransom whatever the price is. Make it reasonable and not over the top.

Be nice too, unless someone is being a complete jerk. If your nice, you'll find people coming back to the system instead of avoiding it.

TBH Not this.

the pvp you will learn with Eve Uni is not piracy but more blob/null fleet orientated. If it is small scale piracy that you are looking into Eve uni is not the way.

Look into some of the pirate corps out there and get to know them. Or just into the areas they frequent and try to blow them up. often this is one of the ebst ways to get into piracy.

That is the Way, the Tao.

Balance is everything.

They teach solo / small-scale stuff, to. The great blobs of ECM death you are thinking of tend to occur when people wardec them without thinking first.

Adama: Starbuck, what do you hear? Starbuck: Nothing but the rain. Adama: Then grab your gun and bring in the cat.

Or when you fight one 1v1, or pretty much any time they are online, E-uni is really not the place to learn small scale piracy, AND for the love of god do not jump strait into a cane or cyclone. Start off in t-1 frigs, they are cheep and you will lose alot, then work on your skills to make you better in those frigs, then move up a ship, rinse repeat. I became a pirate at 12 days old, and i lost alot, but a 1 month old in a drake is fun easy target, even for me. Roam around Molten heath, verge Vender, placid or essence alot of the big name pirate corps roam these areas, and most will talk to if you get your pod out..Pirate, Ask questions and get on the public channels.
