Almost done with most of my skills to 5 for subcaps and making the jump to capitals, I've got large projectiles and torps trained up and I'm about to make the jump to capitals.

I'm wondering if capital cruise missles are something used on the naglfar at all for long range stuff, and if so if its worth it to train up tech II cruises.

Any Naglfar pilots out there that can offer some guidance to a minmatar pilot about to train caps?

I'm not a minnie pilot, but from my experience, most endgame players find minmatar caps severely underpowered. The Nag makes you train two separate weapons systems, and despite the fact that you end up with more weapons than other dreads, you still manage less dps AND less tank. You'll seriously be better off with a different dread if thats what you want to fly. Even minnie carriers suck compared to other races.

Sorry mate, but you're pretty much SOL with minmatar caps. Also remember the purpose of dreads. I'm sure you know, but dreads do not fly like oversized battleships. They need super tanks, and mammoth dps. The nag doesn't fill either of these roles, and is more skill intensive than other dreads.

The Nag is a ok ship, its not the best of the dreads but its close enough that if you want to fly it, do it.
Dreads arent really used for long ranged stuff anymore so ACs and torps is the way to go.

I fly a nag currently and it deals the same amount of dps as a rev if fitted right. The turrets will be your main source of dps so I won't be bothered just yet with capital torps or cruise missiles especially since the turrets deal 95% of your dps even in siege. With that said, I'd train for a moros if I had the choice because it does everything you need a dread to do spectacularly well.
