Cross faction FW plexing

So lets say I have an alt in the Minmatar FW (or are about to put one in)


But there's all of 3 systems belonging to amarr that I can see, and if those are the only ones available for offensive plexing, competition/resistance in them might be a bit stiff.

From what I have heard, if I use said alt to run a caldari FW plex, will it give me the same amount of LP as doing a similarly sized amarr one?

Also with the recent EWAR changes, are all factions plex's equally able to be flown or is there still a significant dispaity between them as far as a single players ability to tank them goes?

Minmatar/Caldari sites are a bit harder due to missiles (they never miss, unlike turrets, just do reduced damage) but there are some gunless capstable fits that can tank them.

The only difference reward wise is that you get no standings for capturing allied sites. But the standings you get are pretty low to begin with so not that big of a deal.
