From the Ivy League bio...
"If you want to have a sparring match or similar 'symmetrical' combat, please contact us and we can arrange something, however wars declared without first contacting us will be prosecuted with full force."

That sounds like fighting words to me. Feel free to point out how that doesn't state they are prepared to PVP.

Although I feel that berating you in public is like smashing a dead horse over the head with a brick and expecting it to get back up and keep running, I will take the time to explain this to you...

Uni agree's to war dec's from time to time for pvp training purposes, eve uni doesn't agree to being griefed for several months solid by one corp/alliance after the other that wants to pad their killboard stats with noob kills.

Full force = ecm doctrine... live with it, understand it, stop thinking griefing eve uni makes you great pvp'rs and awesome mercenaries......

You are either getting blobbed by noobs in frigates or killing mission running/mining noobs, either way you are still killing noobs with less sp in total than you have trained in social.

There is no great skill in killing eve uni and theres certainly no pride to be had by doing so. It just means your capabilities are somewhat less than you fluff your chest and protest to have.

Obviously the people constantly dec'ing EvE Uni can't pad their killboard stats against a real target, viva ecm!!!

For Lady Skank and anyone else wondering quite where I am heading with my comments, let's begin at the beginning...

[ 2012.07.22 09:17:31 ] V > Look at it as an opportunity. We don't use out of corp logis (in fact we rarely use logis at all), we dont use ECM and we like straight up brawls. We're not interested in cheap ganks or hunting down miners.

[ 2012.07.22 09:17:54 ] V > We're interested in straight up brawls, so mobilise your PVP wing and let's see what you can do.

Now lets move on to the actual war with EvE uni, at the start OMNOR did decide to do what they set out to do, brawl, unfortunately they lost some costly t3 ships and a full HG slave set pod, which put them considerably behind in the isk war..

Now, moving on from there, where its quite obvious that war dec'ing eve uni became about padding killboard stats and the lack there of..

Cheap ganks....

http://killfeed.eveuniversity.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=40952

http://killfeed.eveuniversity.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=40912

http://killfeed.eveuniversity.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=40891

http://killfeed.eveuniversity.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=40902

These are damn hard ships to kill and serious brawling was needed to do it!!!

OMNOR does not use ECM!!!!

http://killfeed.eveuniversity.org/?a=kill_related&kll_id=40788

It's the same old story with yet another pathetic spin.... No one who war dec's eve uni is interested in anything other than padding killboards and killing easy targets. The minute they think they are going to lose the isk war they start to do the opposite of what they say they will in the first place. It's sad, it's pathetic and its typical eve.

Grief the people you know are the easy targets while still maintaining the air of superiority and eliticism........

I'd appreciate if you both stop shitting up my thread. We had permission to dec Eve Uni for practise. Lady Spank does not represent Omnor and is not affiliated with us in any way. Thank you.

So who exactly did you get permission from? yourselves, because V stated quite clearly when asked why OMNOR was about to grief EvE Uni on the heals of them already being dec'd for over a month by three different entities.

[ 2012.07.22 09:13:48 ] V > I spoke with them over a week ago, received no reply.

[ 2012.07.22 09:14:40 ] V> i spoke with a diplomat who said he would escalate the issue. There has been no reply.

No reply isn't permission, no reply is no reply, ie: the request has not been dealt with.

You guys dec'd anyway, right on the cusp of them having been griefed for a month solid by u-mad and then Northern Strike in conjunction with Team Liquid.

It's a bit like a date **** drug isn't it, she's not exactly saying no, so go ahead and give her one anyway....Roll

A few weeks ago I asked Ivy League whether they would be interested in setting up some practice battles either via a war or in null sec. Many of OMNOR's pilots, myself included, have recently returned from several years of inactivity so we try to grab any opportunity we can get for a fight because we need the practice. Ivy League has always proved a worthy opponent in the past and, so after they failed to reply to our request, the decision was made to declare war without their 'consent'.

I don't feel the need to excuse this decision. Even though we are frequently on contract, OMNOR has always had opportunist wars with large alliances in between (and, as is the case now, during) contract work. Our e-honor is not decided by who we decide to war-dec to gain fights. Eve is a player versus player game and if Ivy League want to maintain an alliance of several thousand players, then they should be prepared for a variety of challenges.

For us, practice means a variety of things. Brawling (which is what we were hoping to set up with Ivy League), roams, hunting, probing, intel gathering and plenty of other things. Posting a few mails of mission runners getting killed does not indicate that we don't like fights. It tells you that you should train your mission runners to watch local. I don't think you were expecting us to simply pass by people doing silly things without doing our best to educate them on how to play Eve during wartime, so don't be surprised when we do.

As you said, we did attempt to bring the fight to you, but as we rarely have more than four or five members online at the same time, it is difficult for us to stand up to fleets of twenty or more. I would actually like to congratulate Ivy League on the enormous progress they've made in responding to hostile fleets. The years of experience have paid off and corps like OMNOR have a much more difficult time scoring kills as the response has been both swift and well organized. This has meant that we have sought different tactics to try and avoid the blob and fight away from your home base in Aldrat, or try to pick fights with your roaming gangs or more experienced PVPers who can sometimes be found on the pipes.

Very respectful and tastefully written response.

You should represent OMNOR more, and perhaps the "stop typing in my thread rager... or we shall war dec you too because now im mad" Noobjuice should refrain.

PS: Noob, you are already war dec'd to me .... no empty threats required, just paying more attention necessary...Roll

Doho, I can see what you did there. Very clever and original. Also, resorting to unoriginal insults is a great way to effectively berate me for 'bad posting'.
