Hello all, I am a fairly new player still learning the ropes. Running 2 accounts on my PC. My main account runs a CNR with a decent fit and secondary account runs a Noctis for salvaging.

I'd like to run a ship on my secondary account to help my CNR complete Lvl 4s faster. I'm considering a Basilisk for shield repping, perhaps with some Warfare links to help Cruise damage etc. Not sure if this is the best choice and have no idea how to fit.

I'd be really grateful if someone could suggest a suitable Caldari ship (not a Carrier please - not enough SP) and fit.

Thanks Smile

a basilisk will not help you at all. a navy raven should be able to fit for dps and still tank a lvl4 just fine, unless you're doing it wrong™. depending on how much training time you are willing to invest, you should take a look at either the drake or the tengu. both will help you with DPS which is the real limiting factor in lvl4 missions.

if you want to go crazy, you may also want to take a look at the vargur. it has a loooong training time but it also has very good damage and lets you salvage while you are shooting.

I should buy an Ishtar.

I can do Lvl 4s fine in the CNR, I just like the idea of having something to help me do it a little faster, rather than using another DPS ship and having to alt tab to fire etc.

I've seen this: http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/57871-REBOOTED-Drake-OMG-6-Warfare-Link-Fleet-Booster.html

Which is the sort of thing I mean. I think Blink

well, boosters are always nice, but you can also fit them on a tengu along with some decent RR and FoF missiles. all at the same time mind you.

edit: also, drone boats.

I should buy an Ishtar.

If you want an easy to manage ship to go with you then a Dominix with drone focus and salvagers / tractors is a good choice. Drones you just release and they cause havoc on their own, nicely killing off any targets your Raven is not suited to fight.
