Previously required a stunningly simple twelve (12) step process, general understanding game mechanics, and a sense of familiarity with the UI. This procedure was EASILY explained in a forty-five (45) minute long E-UNI class, what is E-UNI going to do now teach them to boil eggs?

1) Open Ship fittings.
2) Right Click on module
3) Show info
4) Select Attributes Tab
5) Scroll down to stats
6) Open calculator
7) Copy index for Maximum flight time
8) Paste into calculator
9) Press multiply
10) Copy Flight Velocity
11) Paste into calculator
12) Press Enter

/unsubscribe

The new tooltip is a great idea which saves precious time. Don't mix 'wannabe cool calculator difficulty' with 'random missing features like Loot All button', which are pretty important and everyone just generally love them.


In a sci-fi game where I can fly a ******* spaceship with hyper extended UI control over everything I really think that something like CALCULATING flight time of my missiles should be already calculated by my computer.


End of the story.

As always Tom is wrong. The new tooltip is simply range * flight time which is incorrect.

CCP is still screwing over newbies with either missing information, or with all their improvements to the NPE, inaccurate information. In this case, the stated missile range is too long. Actual, effective missile range is simply:

r = Range
v = Velocity of missile
f = Flight time of missile
m = Mass of missile
a = Agility of missile

As always, CCP leaves it up to the players to actually understand their game for them, something that newbies probably aren't aware of, thus putting newbies at a tremendous disadvantage.
