High-Sec Mining Guide Thoughts and Ideas

Greetings all - the changes are coming... no matter if you feel good bad or oblivious to them... the markets will reflect it and will have to see what the meta-game turns into.

I felt it was time to show the ganking community that miners (and multi-role individuals) are not the herd of mindless greedy sheep they seem to wish to hang a sign on.

To this end, lets start a bit of hard-numbers education for the new-miner (and multi-role individuals, because no one just mines) and see if we can get a consensus here.

This guide should be a list of posts that are High-Sec ways to deal with the coming changes, means of doing business, number crunching of best price/ratio to results, etc... the logical scientific based plan to doing it right.

This should include:

High-Sec organization game mechanics - Fleets, corps, alliances, war declaration, use of mercenary hires, etc.
Organization of trade and market sales co-operatives and best practices
Thoughts on ships, from "ship dispenser" to "shiny" use what is best for what application.
How to make the most of mining under this new system.

Some ideas I had are and commentary welcome on how and if to do such things - since they are just my personal "hmmm... maybe this would be ok"

1. High Sec Alliance formation of corps to join to create a "home system militia" - where ever corp in the "carebear" system is a member - would this be a good thing to try?

2, Using BPCs to simply mass produce T1 Ships locally and simply reship and ignore tanks all around (other than anti-rat) and just accept that ganking is a cost of doing business like everything else and if you can miner more than the ship ganked cost to make it you have "won the ISK war" as it paid for itself and then some = the some is profit.

3. Use of the Orca as a off-grid system (for Alliance or Corp or for hire ad-hoc) fleet boosting to miners on grid... could be an interesting new profession... or use of other such ships - anything with a gang link really could perhaps fit these roles, could there be a percentage of ISKcome in doing this as a system service?

4. Since pro-active attacks are an issue with ganking - basically you have to wait for the GCF to hit to respond... how about the concept of anti-ganking suicide ganking in cheap frigates (another ship dispenser) where when you see that cat or nado coming in you simply gank it with an orbiting alt and screw up it's gank run - don't even need to destroy it... and "Smelly Piratewhore" knows it... the tears he cried to me where so sweet... "flame two cats with the cost of one Jag" - yep I know the ISK was more, but it was SO FUN... and worth it... and had another jag in the hangar anyway... and a wolf, and a... well you get the point... no loss to me... mining that back in an hour or two.

Post away with comments or ideas of your own, expound on the ones posted - would love to know the numbers and the practicality of doing them. I don't have the background in corps mechanics and
