Best way to shuffle ships?

I want to move some ships around in the most time efficient manner, but so far the options seem to be that the ships need a pilot to move from one place to another, so it's almost like musical chairs. What is the best way to move ships around. For example, I'd like to move my mining/salvage ship and a hauler to the high sec location as my cruiser I'm using for missions, while my tristans stay out near low sec areas.

Of course right now they're all over the place as that's how I acquired them.

Though I see my lazy alternative is to just...buy more ships?

I created Ave Molech and I love ponies.

Everyday i'm .. well you know

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Freightor is one way,
A contract to move them is another.

Easiest is to just auto-pilot them, shuttle to the next one and so on.

Take you a few mins of your time turning the autopilot on each time.

Depends on the size and number of ships. For instance I just moved a few of my frigs unpackaged and fitted inside my Orca. If they are spread out or too large to move inside anything you currently own or can fly shutte to each one and retrieve going one by one. It might mean you take a day and call it moving day. Of course if they are older ships with poor fits sometimes it is better just to sell and buy a new one. In other words there is no best way because what works for one player or situation does not always work for another.

If it's a lot of ships, I just make a contract and have someone else take care of it. Otherwise I use shuttles and go back and forth.

if they're over obscene distances and just in highsec...

Auto-pilot = on.

or a freighter, that might work too. I got to the point a while ago where I have so many ships that moving huge distances is just out of the question and I kinda like where I am. So find yourself a nice location and make it your HQ if you hate moving like that.
