I don't speak German or anything, but I get the distinct impression that the word 'zimperlich' has recently seen misuse. You can't use Google Translate for everything, sometimes words don't carry over flawlessly.

I do and it does mean that. You can't assume everyone uses Google Translate just because you don't happen to speak the language.

Yeah, those too, but also fussy, prissy, squeamish, way too sensitive, 'Victorian' if you must - and I took it in this context, which made sense in the sentence.
