Fleet battle popped my EVE...

Hey Guys

Since last night I've been having trouble logging into EVE.

We were busy with quite a massive fleet battle, we were ordered to warp to a gate and jump. It's about then that I started hitting massive lag. It's the first time ever since I've started playing EVE that I got this kinda of lag. When the game finally 'unlagged' I found myself at the jump gate where I suddenly got a "The Socket has been Closed" msg, and it lead to EVE restarting.

Since then I've been unable to log in at all. The launcher says that the Server is Online with tons of players playing.
When I get to the Log On screen it "Checks Server status" for like a minute and then switches to Server Status: UNKNOWN
If I try to connect anyways, it actually connects to server, but it takes like a minute 'Authenticating', after which I get the "The Socket has been Closed" msg again.

Every other website still works, and I'm still able to connect to Diablo 3 perfectly...well as perfectly one can connect to D3. Oddly though...the ONLY other site that is having trouble connecting so far is the RvB website. Not sure if and/or how this is connected to EVE not logging me in.

I badly need to log on...got a a very expensive ship bouncing around in space at the moment, with tons of war targets about. Ugh

Any help here would be great! Even if a GM can just get someone to go dock me bloody ship! If thats possible... P I've tried connecting with my laptop as well, but it does the same thing so can't be my PC that screwy.
Can't be modem settings since its been working fine this whole year.
Anyone got any ideas what could be causing this problem?

Thanks!
