Oh yeah - the illegal activity is botting, not you bumping in this context. I guess harassing everyone in a system that is not a botter makes you an Equal Opportunity Harasser and therefore exempt from harassment petitions. I know many moons ago they specifically mentioned "bumping" in the EULA and/or rules of conduct. I don't see it now.

Nicely stated Annie. Good luck in school.

Didn't you report the botters?

Report them? Does the fire department report fires, or do they put them out? I am Supreme Protector of Halaima and Kamio. When I suspect there are botters knocking about, I deal with them myself, according to my own rules. I don't waste my time with red tape and bureaucracy. Consider me the Jack Bauer of EVE. I do what's necessary. You may not like the way I go about it, but at the end of the day, I get results. Cool

We're both adults, Vaerah, so let's just level with each other. No pretense, no baloney. We both know that whenever people recount their use the "report bot" function, it's some variation of, "I reported the bots X times but they're still here." Yes, by all means, petition people for botting. But we cannot abdicate our own responsibilities. It's our community, so we deal with the problems ourselves.

In any case, I'm less concerned about botters violating the EULA than I am with their violations of the Code of Conduct.

If the fire department guy sees a woman being attacked in a road he will dial the police.

Reporting botters in no way hinders your responsibilities. You can still bump and burn them at leisure, CCP take their time to deal with them so you have ample room to do your stuff.

Hi VV, J is prolly a goonie alt (check his history) trying to escalate ice prices while extorting miners and he has a long history of griefing. Prolly made the alt just for that purpose...

Yes, bumping miners in two specific systems is JUST the way I too would use if I wanted to raise ice prices. What the **** man, how dense can you be?

I do however find great enjoyment in expressing my opinion on such matters. Heck, kicking dirt in the face of evil is almost more fun than playing the game.

You can't name even one bad thing I've done to the miners, yet I'm the "face of evil" now? Roll

Oh wow, Sorceror Majiir you're really into that "OH GOD LOOK HOW HARD I AM LAUGHING HAHAHAHAHAHAH ... oh why are you hurting me :(" thing, aren't you?

Come, sit down. Talk to us. How far did James bump you? Did it hurt?

We can talk about it.

For only 2mil per session* I will hold councilling sessions for miners who return from being AFK to find their barges 60km away and their perceptions of time, space and physics offended.

* a session is one server tick. No refunds. You may or not be mocked for chosing to play a game and imitate the behaviour of a simple script.

Good news on the Sorceror Majiir front. I received a mining fee on behalf of Sorceror from investor Rykker Bow, who wrote me the following:

Quote:
I would like to donate a 10m mining license on behaf of Sorceror Majiir. Feel free to let him and everyone in the thread how great it is to have him on board and he can mine any time he wants.

Being an 11 day old alt, he will need to train up a bit but thankfully the license is for a whole year!

Another act of generosity on the part of those who support the New Order. Everyone in EVE will bear witness to our superior character. I have set Sorceror to positive standings for the next 365 days.

Sorceror, you may not have intended it, but I thank you for making this donation possible. This is just the first step on your road to recovery. Welcome aboard! Smile

I don't know how I missed this whole thing apart from your initial posts in C & P, but I have thoroughly enjoyed catching up on your campaign James315. As always, a pleasure to read. I will definitely be investing when the next stock offering comes around.

I am ashamed, for a while I thought lots of the humor was quickly being used up in this thread, and here you and Rykker Bow have a massive dose of laughter injected..... A great lesson for me that this is a long process and journey and we are still just at the beginning with lots of uncharted areas to navigate.

I look forward in anticipation to unforeseen humor to surface here now.

Kudos to you both for defusing this situation and finding a solution that works for all parties invovled!! LMAO

I had a quick technique question -- in your post, you mention gently bumping an orca, and the screenshots show it moving at a fairly slow pace. Why not use a 100mn MWD stabber fleet issue to punt the orca dozens of kilometers? You need a fairly good leadup (I used the full 150km allowed by the interface, before "approach" turns to "align to", a command that cannot be performed on a ship >150km away) and cap injection, but it will send the orca careening into the void, unable to warp away for a good 10 minutes or more.

This post was crafted by the wormhole expert of the Goonswarm Economic Warfare Cabal, the foremost authority on Eve: Online economics and gameplay.

Welcome to the Market Discussion forum, friend. I hope your stay is a pleasant one. You seem to have gotten a little agitated and confused, so here's some tips to help you out.

This is a forum for discussing the business of Eve. You seem to have stumbled across one of the more exciting new ventures where James 315 is attempting to run a new hybrid government/enterprise. Perhaps you are already knew this? Your blatherings give me the impression that you are one of James' reluctant subjects.

I'm worried that in all the excitement you might have gotten lost. You keep talking about role playing but this isn't a role playing forum. The role playing forum is over here. Then you go on to make some suggestions for some new modules and/or anchorable structures (the details weren't clear to me). The ships and modules forum is over here. I have no idea what you were trying to get at with the bit about deadspace cloaking things but that would probably be best brought up in the missions and complexes forum or, to be frank, general discussion.

Hope this helps and best of luck in your future endeavours.

P.S. Seriously though, just pay the fee and this will go a lot easier for you.

Loosen your grip on the shaft, nobody is trying to usurp your position there, coin purse.

All this reminds me of the myriad of times that Krang and Shredder tried to take over/destroy/transport New York to another dimension. You guys are some clowns, seriously. Lol

Honestly though, if James was legit, there'd be wreckage, not bumper cars. Until then, just busters who couldn't hack it anywhere else.

A stabber with an oversized propulsion mod sounds like fun. I know you can also get good results against orcas using speed-fitted battleships. Ordinarily I don't bother with orcas and the like; I just bump hulks, macks, retrievers, etc., so I'm fitted for maneuverability instead.

I hadn't considered that analogy before, but you're absolutely...huh? Shocked

Jimmy, take a good, long look at me.

It doesn't get any more legit than this. Cool
