EVE General Discussion

I'm a relatively new player only a year old, so I missed all the prime times of EVE. While surfing for more Eve wallpapaers, I stumbled across this image. When I look at my ship in stations now i'm disappointing by the lack of environment. It always seems like my ships are in a random corner of the station, I want to see the whole thing. I imagine stations as giant floating cities. Like in the earlier picture. It looks like an actual city people want to live in, not the backwater hotel room the current stations show. I think it would be neat of when indie stations you get a glimpse of the the actual "city" part.

That is a very old picture, that Mach looks horrible...

in ccp's defense... Its a ship hangar... it's not supposed to be pretty. Once more WiS (if ever) is released, I would expect to be greeted by that Quafe hologram upon opening 'the door'

I find the current Amarr station view a lot better than the other races' stations. The little shuttles going back and forth add so much and overall it just looks plausibly busy. Would be really cool if something like the several ship platforms in the Amarr station hangar would be in all hangars and have the other ships in your ship hangar on them if you have several ships in the same station. Gallente stations look particularly ridiculous because of how big they are versus how much of the space is actually used.

Since the ship platforms in all but the Amarr stations (which wouldn't need changing at all) are basically free standing/hanging/whatever it shouldn't be much of a problem to add a couple more to each.

And add some random shuttle traffic and for the love of isk some ship traffic like what's show in the videos Tippia linked.
