…you mean apart from the bit where it said that scamming is allowed? Not only by omission in the EULA, but also explicitly in the complementary rules that you agree with as part of agreeing to the EULA.

Yeah, no. I didn't fail to show you that. You just failed to read it.

This isn't real money scamming. You're an idiot. Also, HA HA. Sucker.

After the patch we're giving the market some gentle supply restriction, like tying one wrist to the bedpost loosely with soft silk rope. Just enough to make things a bit more exciting for the market, not enough to make a safeword necessary.  -Fozzie

Long story short, OP is ******** and can't fathom that once he converted his mummies cash into isk that real life laws no longer apply.

Facepalm @ OP, no real money was stolen. End of the story.

I trust everyone now realizes this entire thread is just a fake post.

well since he purposely passed over the EULA excerpt I gave, it was pretty obvious from the start though.

making threats to a real life entity via a public medium is very very different than stealing internet spaceships monies, and fyi the guy who got arrested for the bombthreat via twitter? his conviction was quashed in court the other day, the little scrote that made the threat to the Olympic swimmer will no doubt get a slapped wrist and made to make a public apology.

It's already been explained by most of the posters in this thread. It doesn't matter how you got the ISK you gave them, it was in game currency pure and simple. They didn't encourage you to buy the PLEX you used to get the ISK, you did that of your own volition. As far as they were concerned it was just 3 billion that you could have gotten via any means.

OP, this is really super failed logic. Lets take another example....

I go to a movie and spend $20 for a ticket. I have now converted that cash into time that I can spend watching something on a big screen. If I didn't like that movie, i would say "I just lost 2 hours of my life that I can't get back" rather than "The theatre just stole my $20?!?!"

What you did was a 3 stage exchange. You converted cash into Plex, and then Plex into ISk. You then gave said ISK to someone who ran off with it. While I don't condone scamming, your logic that you had your RL money stolen is a fallacy. Once it's in EVE you can consider it good as gone, and you know this but refuse to accept it. It's just like if you paid for a car and it got stolen you'd say someone stole your car, not your $40,000. When you exchange something it no longer inherits the same form or value of what it was before, hence why it's called exchange.

Now, would you say you had RL money stolen had you used that ISK to buy a ship and it got suicide ganked when you undocked, especially if they took all the modules that dropped which you also purchased with converted PLEX? Of course not. Stop being an idiot, please. You're hurting all of our brains.

I'm sorry, that doesn't make sense.

“Keep trolling” implies that someone has started trolling, and the only likely candidate for that is you. But you're supposedly out. So how will the trolling continue then?

The simple fact remains: you were not scammed out of real money, and in-game scams are, as has been shown, quite explicitly allowed.
