Tell me if someone stole £100 or you, what would you do? SERIOUSLY?? and i dont mean in game i just mean generally? What would you do? What would you really think? I mean you could still havea chance to get it back, but even worse you cant, and CCP are willing to do nothing about it either. Which makes them just as bad.

I wonder what would happen if this was looked at legally? from CCP point of view, allowing this to happen?

The police would laugh at you. Hard.

lets find out then shall we...

Please do this & make sure you give us the full details, including the part where they look at you funny & giggle as you walk out the door.

Yeah, let's us do that. You call the cops and tell them that you have had 3 billion of your space-money stolen that you had gotten from selling game time in the game for real money.

But give me a minute? I need to prepare some popcorn, not salted because I'll ask you to cry over the bowl for me.

It is ok to scam because those are the rules of the game. You accepted them when you created your account. You accepted them when you downloaded and first started the client. You accent them any time the client craps itself and resets its settings.

LOL as a UK resident I can assure you that the police have much more interesting things to do than chase a games company in a country that they have no jurisdiction in, like check tax discs, hide in bushes to catch speeders, and lets not forget protect their local greasy spoon restaurant at all costs.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Honestly, I bet after telling the police his story,(and seeing how gullible he is) they would promise to help him recover it for a fee. Lol

Oh I see; you're a new Prencleeve account.

You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.

Tigress~~dude, you paid for an in-game item with real money. Did you receive your PLEX, yes or no? Did CCP deliver the PLEX that you purchased with REAL MONEY?

On a side note, I remember a while back some guy was hauling $1k worth of PLEX unprotected and got blewed up.

You guys know I love research and Intel...

Moar google-fu resulted in this post where Tribal Band advertises space for rent. They also linked this map in Period Basis. Knowing OP wanted 3 stations (if he's talking about actual stations), the logical carebearish choice would be at the bottom left of the map, kinda at the end of the world, hidden from invaders... system being: PA-VE3 (factory), G-Q5JU (factory - medical) & Z-M5A1 (refinery).

From the advertisement & quote:

"- No obligation to join PVP!
- Your sov, your rules
- Protection from any roaming hostiles (we love pvp)
- Station systems, ice belts and similar available for renting
- Unlimited access to our jumpbridge network and our own facilities
"

I took the liberty to underline the obvious carebear baits. Never fall for these. Renters always have to fight sooner or later.

You need to understand the difference between reality and a game world first. Come back when you have.

Also, any update on calling the cops? My popcorn is getting cold... :(

If he hasn't figured it out after the other half dozens mentions of this, he certainly isn't going to now.

Stop trying to reason with him and just laugh at the silly monkey.

The real money is in CCP's hands. You didn't send the scammers any real money because, if you did, you'd be buying an in-game service with RL cash, which is not permitted.

Just one problem: you were not scammed with real money.

You got scammed out of in-game currency — currency you don't even own (it's the property of CCP, and they still own it now that it appears in the scammer's wallet). The EULA doesn't prohibit this kind of scamming. In addition, as the reimbursement policy points out…

2. Players are cautioned to use their best judgment when entering into agreements with other players. To avoid getting scammed, please read our article on scamming.
…it would only be illegitimate if they exploited any bugs. I'm fairly willing to bet that you simply transferred ISK to them — no bugs involved.
