Hey guys,

i noticed some teams flying hawks in the tournament. Since the hawk is the ship i wanna start doing PVP with when i have better skills i wonder what loadouts they were using?

Main question for me here is to go for active or passive tanking? Does anyone know how the Pros fit their Hawks or have own experiences here? I checked Battleclinic for this one but for me it seems like again there are a lot of smart asses going just like "urs suck, mines better.."

Cheers so far.

Get a hawk, fit a medium ASB. Then fit another medium ASB, mwd, rockets. Things can't go wrong after this.

ATX is not like TQ.
Don't start PvPing in a T2 ship.
You'll have a lot more fun if you consider this, and factor in exactly where you're pvping and what you're encountering. (RvB, FW/lowsec, null solo, anywhere with logi support & fellow frigs/tacklers for a larger fleet).

do not listen to them naysayers! the ability to deal consistent dps from range without the constraints of optimal and falloff which limit the pvp power of turret based warships, the hawk is the perfect platform for any pilot seeking to annihilate his foes

i just locked an open door.. strange, yet symbolically compelling.

oh wow that sounds like really badass cap killing?! I also miss the webbing and scrambling here? but at least this sounds like good tanking and with the ASB i make use of the hawks' bonus here. Just wondered because i also saw videos of a guy using some kind of dual web, passive tank / damage control / AB setup and seemed to do quite well with it (solo).

Yeah well i wanna go for something that works and can have some effect and not for something that doesn't hurt too much when popping =). I try to reduce the wallet pain by going for proper skill levels and trying a "safer" fitting for the start.
