If you use SiSi launcher right now, you have to repair the launcher after every SiSi patch. (command prompt: eve.exe /forceupdate /forcelauncher) I'd like to give credit where credit is due, one of the devs pointed this out last week. Can't find the thread now sadly :(

You´ve managed to get one of the in testing builds (as denoted by the version number in the top left). The current published version of the Launcher for TQ is v1.32.

You can roll it back by calling the EVE or the Launcher from the command line, or via a shortcut with the /forceupdate argument:

eve.exe /forcelauncher /forceupdate

This should roll it back to the current published version.

I have some not so good news and some good news!

Not so good news
rigs in cargo as some people have requested will not be saved this time - sorry about that. it's just a little bit more complicated and needs more special casing (I don't like that) than I would have wanted.

The good news
Ice products in cargo will be saved under "Fuel". This means that your Liquid Ozone, any type of Isotopes and Strontium in cargo will be saved with the fitting Cool

Hope this addition to my changes will make some lives in New Eden even better

The fuel changes will most likely be on Sisi tomorrow but all the other changes are already there. I encourage you to go try them out!

Will said fuel be able to be placed in a fuel bay if present by default, or will it be placed in the cargo bay?

Is this still working? When I originally looked it said it was no longer supported; and 5gb is a lot of bandwidth to spend for something which may not work.

It may be working, I don't know, but we no longer support it. You don't need to download a full client for Sisi, you can just copy your existing installation and patch it using the instructions found here: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Singularity#Accessing_Singularity

I don't get that... I thought the whole point of sisi launcher was to streamline the process so people would actually use sisi, which was a huge deal with the CSM and devs who oversee the tests. sisilauncher was pushbutton -> work. No copy this, edit that, customize patches crap. Last time I tried to figure out how to get on sisi, I changed my mind altogether. No thank you. Not any more.

Would it be possible to have this some time in the future Soon™, or is it not technically possible? I have a feeling many people would really like it if you managed to add this.

I just haven't given it any thought. These changes were mostly made for those who are mass-fitting ships but weren't really made so that people didn't ever have to think about their fittings again Blink

Now seems a good time to bump the thread for a reply to Post 54

If the changes were supposed to help people who mass fit ships then why do we still need to have maxed-out combat skills for all 4 races to do it? While your changes are good, and thanks a lot for the work you have done, this solution does not seem to actually cure the problem that you set out to fix.

Items we don't have the skill to fit cause a popup and the item remains in our hangar. With a simple change these items could be placed in the hold of the ship in question. If the hold fills up THEN you should pop up a message and leave the item in the hangar - this cures the problem you set out to fix.

I want to clear that up that I'm not actively working on making fixes and changes to the saved fittings. I had a few days available after the deployment of Inferno so I just picked a few things many people had been asking for.

I believe my changes fix the problem of mass-fitting ships for most people, at least the thank yous and appraisal I've gotten from those people in various corporations and alliances make me believe that.

Changing things so that you can fit things you don't have skills for, or add everything in cargo you can't fit is out of scope for these little things I made (also more of a game design decision than a programmers decision).

Hope my changes will at least help you somewhat! Big smile

Normally I'd check this myself, but I'm at work right now and the thought just occurred to me. If we have a fitting saved with, say, 5000 charges in the cargohold, but only 4000 in our hanger and we try to fit the ship, will it place 4000 in the cargohold (and maybe pop up a warning), or will it just fail and not load anything?

it fits what you have and then gives you the normal message with a list of things missing (like before)

I just tested it. It fits what it can, then gives the "not all items fitted" message.

Edit: And that is why people ask: It gets answers faster than testing it.

To CCP: Although "Fit" does fit charges, "Strip" does not remove them.

Edit: And that is why testing it yourself is good, it generates new feedback to CCP.

I don't want to make it remove them because you could just as well have had them in your cargo before - so I don't want to remove stuff from cargo.

Maybe a "strip" button, and a "stip+unload" button?

Please also add nanite pastes to the list of items being saved. Usually many PVP fits include these, it'd also save a lot of time.

thanks.
