Drop targeting IV (hell, even 3 is nonessential for a Rifter) and get those gunnery support skills up higher (Rapid firing, etc).

As a rule of thumb I would train all new skills to level 3 minimum instead of level 1, as the first 3 levels are a short train and give relative large benefit.

You especially may wanna consider training Projectile Weapon Rigging I to 3 - it has a 'nasty' grid penalty and as you are a new player it will be difficult enough to fit your ships. Also get MWD quickly, its fairly essential when tackling stuff, otherwise you are just too slow. Finally, energy neuts are considered more effective as vampires as vampires only work when your cap is lower then your targets cap.

Also, train cybernetics and get the best implants you can affort. Only plugin those two attributes you actively train.

Also, did you EFT the fit, I kinda doubt you can fit 3 weapon rigs to a rifter.

As a Rifter tackle, you rely heavily on your speed.

You should consider looking more into navigation, spaceship command (at least 4) and Evasive Maneuvering. High speed maneuvering will help you run MWD longer.

It'll fit: Ambit Ext Cost 100 each, Collision Acc Cost 200.

As for tackling, I'd suggest checking out the soon to be buffed Slasher. I think I heard they wanted to turn them into some kind of T1 mini interceptor for 1.2

Yes, the Slasher and the Atron are both going to be fairly good after the next patch. And more to the point, they will be better at tackling. That Rifter fit you have is great, but it is meant for 1v1 with other frigs. If you want to tackle larger targets for a gang, I recommend an MWD fit Slasher or Atron.

Pirate? Big smile

Guns, nav, tank, and some way to make isk.

Also, if you are going to come to low sec to meet/live/learn with those of us who reside here look at cruisers. Nwed tank for gate/station gun blappage.

Awesome, thank you Ione I'll make sure to add those towards the top. I have been trainin the new skills to 3 first, it did seem to make a little more sense.

Interesting, I'll def check out those ships. I'm open to anythin as I havn't dove too deep into my plan yet. 1v1 would be fun at times, but essentially I do wanna roll with a gang.

If you want a tackle y rifter I would actually sugest a shield fit.
Only because a tackler is usually the fastest ship on the field, to catch foes and flee from them when need be try this

This fit requires a 1% pg implant

3 x 125mm II autocannon
1 x Rocket launcher II

1 x Medium shield Extender II
1 x Warp disruptor II
1 x Limited Microwarp drive 1mn

1 x Damage control
1 x Overdrive injector system II
1 x nanofiber internal structure II

1 x Anti em screen reinforcer
2 x small polycarbon engine housing

With your Microwarpdrive on you can go 3985 m/s with max skill and a whopping 5642 m/s overloaded!
Your nearing interceptor speeds at this point with slightly more hp at that point. If your training to be a tackler you should be training toward getting into Interceptors and assault ships.

A pirate you say? You know piracy and mercenary work share a lot of parallels at times. Ever considered getting paid for your trouble? If you apply to noir Academy we can teach you alot of the pvp skills your seeking to learn. If you graduate into Noir you would be paid for good performance on contract. I wont lie, piracy is pretty tough work these days and like fishing you only eat if you catch something and survive.

Noir. and Noir Academy are recruiting apply at www.noirmercs.com I Noir Academy: 60 days old must be able to fly at least one tech II frigate. I Noir. Recruits: 4:1 k/d ratio and can fly tech II cruisers.
