Most excellent news regarding cargo-based charges being saved w/the fitting. That is a truly useful addition to EVE's fitting functionality. Thank you.

FIRST THING!
The biggest annoyance appeared to be that rigs in saved fittings aren't fit. To solve that in such a way people don't accidentally fit expensive rigs they didn't want to fit we've added a question asking if you really want to do that. That question is suppressible so if you're confident you'll never make a boo-boo, you can just check that box and never see the question again.

We also decided that if there are already rigs fit on the ship, no rigs will be added or destroyed (you'll get a notification saying why your rigs weren't fit).
Let's be clear: CCP is restoring functionality that it removed. The ability to automatically fit up rigs with all of the warning bells was previously available to pilots until it was removed in a patch w/in the past year or so.

I'm pretty sure you're not right about this because people have been asking for this for way over a year..

but my THIRD THING is something that used to work and then stopped working and was fixed now

Just a quick question if it's possible to add est price of the fitting and maybe some basic stats of the particular fitting with current skills?

Other then that it's nice changes, keep up good work guys and gals.

Thanks Punkturis, we usually fit up around 500 thrashers at a time to have ready to hand out to our pilots on a daily basis, I popped on sisi a while ago and could fit up about 20 thrashers per minute, it will make our lives a lot easier.

Punk was asking for other things that would make fitting even faster. After doing so with the new system, what do you think the next step should be?

Thank you for the "third thing" fix.

Yes, it is true that saved rigs used to automatically be fit to the ship if the rigs were:

1) saved in the fitting

2) were supported by the fitter's skills

3) were present in the active station hangar or in the active ship's cargohold.

Admittedly, I do not recall the exact patch where this functionality stopped working, but I do remember the moment that I went to fit up a ship and the rigs did not go along for the ride. The despair that CCP had changed / broken yet another thing w/o documentation really helps to make an imprint in a customer's mind. I am sorry that CCP's institutional change logs and knowledge sharing did not record this moment for your reference.

I am glad that CCP is restoring this functionality, of course.

Obviously a "batch fit" button that lets you queue the system up to go through a certain number of ships you want fit up, but that sounds super exploitable and I would assume would tax whatever item DBs they use for this stuff way too much if a load of people were using it at the same time.

Being able to select a stack of ships and "apply fitting" to all of them.

Also being able to specify a ship name in the fitting would be cool Big smile
