Awesome change!

Has the "fit to a certain slot" requirement been removed too? Otherwise I see rigs being deleted becuase they're 3-2-1 instead of 2-3-1 for instance.

Oh, and the error message you get when moving a gun from slot 1 -> 2 stating you have no slots left.. while its actually just a move?

no the certain slot requirement has not been removed but if your ship has rigs, no rigs will be fit so they won't get destroyed.

Aight, sounds fair enough :)

+1 for best hairstyle dev.

Awesome! One minor nit can we get a space between the quantity and the x?

Thanks for the changes!

The "Fit want you have skills for" will really help me as I ... er.....acquired... a ship with a T2 rig that I cannot fit myself. And I cannot use saved fits as a result. You change will help that! So will the changes to make mass fitting as I have had to do that a few times.

And that brings up another issue. Once you mass fit 100 ships, you got to do something with them, something that usually requires use of contracts. But to contract 100 fitted ships you got to click the "Non-empty container!" warning 100 times.

Maybe you can add a "Same for all containers in this contract" check box? Or a "Do not show again" check box?

Also a "remember settings" for contracts would be nice. That will greatly speed up making separate contracts for each ship.

Same request as I made in the sisi feedback thread. I love these changes, absolutely love them, but I really hope this gets expanded to saving all modules in a cargohold/fuel bay/corp hanger.

Reasons behind this are mainly for us capital pilots. I carry dozens of different fittings in my Thanatos' corp hanger. Extra cap rechargers/cap power relays/cloak for travel fit. Extra neuts and smartbombs, ECCM/Remote ECCM modules, extra tank modules (including a shield tank, call me paranoid), warp core stabs. The list goes on.

I do the same thing in my Moros. I carry an even number of stront for siege cycles and the rest is fuel, it'd be awesome if those amounts were saved. Then I carry extra tank mods, tracking mods, warp core stabs, extra tank, etc in my cargohold as well.

Even in subcaps there's times when I carry an extra cyno field generator just in case. I can always fit it on a POS or a nearby carrier and light an emergency cyno, this goes back to the liquid o as well.

Changes look good but there is still 1 problem. Roll

If I'm using an logistics alt to supply the alliance with ships but the alt doesn't have combat skills I won't be able to fit the modules or rigs to the ship. Sad

Is there any chance that modules you don't have the skills to fit could be placed in the cargo hold rather than just fail?

That way I could at least create the contracts knowing all the right bits are included. Big smile

Most excellent news regarding cargo-based charges being saved w/the fitting. That is a truly useful addition to EVE's fitting functionality. Thank you.

CCP Punkturis wrote:
FIRST THING!
The biggest annoyance appeared to be that rigs in saved fittings aren't fit. To solve that in such a way people don't accidentally fit expensive rigs they didn't want to fit we've added a question asking if you really want to do that. That question is suppressible so if you're confident you'll never make a boo-boo, you can just check that box and never see the question again.

We also decided that if there are already rigs fit on the ship, no rigs will be added or destroyed (you'll get a notification saying why your rigs weren't fit).
Let's be clear: CCP is restoring functionality that it removed. The ability to automatically fit up rigs with all of the warning bells was previously available to pilots until it was removed in a patch w/in the past year or so.

Could you add the 'directly use things out of corporate hangar'.

I'm tired, as a full director or even CEO of a corporation to be told I don't have access to an item if I try to use it out of a corp hangar.

Whether it's a ship, or a implant, or whatever, It's extremely frustrating to get the 'can't use that item'. Especially with the new horrible cargo interface.
