Ooh....."victims"

Thats all I saw in that post as well.

To answer the OP..

Activity is low because its the last few weeks of summer. Once fall/winter hits the activity will pick up I'm sure.

Summer yes, but I would also hazard a guess that the goonswarm success with turning most of null into a homo fest, coupled with the impossibility of actually being original anymore in eve is talking its toll

I honestly think that EVE/CCP is still recovering from the fiasco from walking in stations. They made a huge error by forcing that on us and it seems to still be having an effect on the populous. it does seem to be getting better

Welcom back to EVE though.

Sam

No. Just because your friend unsubscribed doesn't necessarily mean half of the EVE players unsubscribed as well.

To some degree I agree but this isnt just a Goonswarm problem, all of Null sec has become a giant circle jerk, their is more action on a daily basis in a high sec asteroid than in null sec right now. What this game needs is a big, drag out, global war thats both personal and pointless... kind of like real life.

The reality of Eve is that, if you don't love it like it is today, you should probobly go ahead and unsub.

While the numbers dropped, my impression is that actual activity did not drop in recent months (before summer break). Makes me think it's indeed the fewer bots.

Of course number of human players could have dropped in certain areas where I wouldn't notice, for example mission runners in hisec not interacting with anyone else.

Well, the only real way to do that would be one of the Empires deciding they have had enough of the big alliances and start a campaign to flush them out of their systems... but I doubt such a thing will happen... beeing against the Sandbox and all.^^

So CCP will just continue the "balancing".

Hope this post cleared it up.

You don't have to speculate about usage. Go to this link and you'll see usage history for several years. Eve is flat in terms of usage, not declining. There are occasional ups but the lowest level of usage is pretty steady.

Site was recently revised so that the "history" graph at bottom reads from left to right; used to read from right to left, and fooled me into thinking Eve was in decline. That's not the case.

It's only summer in half the world, you know.

Shh.

It's so much easier for people to start these threads based on "it feels like" or "it seems I've noticed" than to present actual facts.
