Hey everyone here

I'm a new citizen of EVE for only 12 days, however, a good lesion has already been learnt.

I have been invited to a small corp for new joiners and met a very helpful guy there, who is the CEO of the small corp.

He was giving me guidance for the past ten days and chatted with me regularly to make me not so bored while running the missions at the beginning stage.
As he said, he's a good coach and as a "graduation gift", he presented a good lesion to me today.

He asked me to buy some ammo (fraction crystal) for him and mentioned he will pay me back later, the ammo he mentioned is quite expensive as one pcs costs 30M. In addition, when I searching the market at Jita, there's only two pcs available.

Through it made me confused, I still purchased for him. After that, I saw one funny thing in my transaction record, the ammo is sold by him.

Well, 60M is really a small amount, even to 12 days new one like me, I still get my drake and can start from zero again.

However, I feel a bit disappointed as the relationship is so cheap.

Yeah, a bit disappointed, but I’ll continue my joinery in EVE, the world itself is full of good and bad things and EVE is just another world~

Thanks for reading

Just some updates
I’ve read all your posts here and feel much better indeed.
Honestly, it's so hard for me to believe he cheated me as the amount is so little!
But in actual fact, it happened.
Maybe he like to do so and think that's fun~

Please allow me to talk a bit more here:
After he got the money from me, he told me to come to planet 1 (both of us were at jita at that moment) and he will return me the money, however I refused as at that time we still in the same corp.
I’m sure you guys will have the same conclusion with me as there will be no money but a kill report waiting for me in planet1.
The most funny thing is he claimed to me that corp member cannot shoot each other in highsec area but he forgot that he was the person who told me corp member can fright in highsec and run through a PVP training with me just a few days ago.

For those who wanted to know his ID, just check my employment history and the CEO of my second corp is the person you are looking for. I hope new joiners can be aware about this case.
However, I’m not going to link his ID here directly as this is not so nice.
Even he has done so to me, I still believe the majority of the EVE citizens are good, I will not close my door from knowing new friends and keep my own direction: be true to my friends in EVE.
But no worries, I’ll pay a bit more attention from now onwards.

Once again, really appreciate all your kind reply.
Now I understand that it's the people make EVE so wonderful, yes, the good and the evil, it's so true!

You seem to take it lighthearted, which is the right thing to do. Journey on, young capsuleer!

If you don't ragequit over this, you made the first step towards a promising career in EVE.Smile
Your next lessons probably involves getting stealed from and/or loosing your shiny new ship, don't hesitate then, just get right back into it, preferably with guns blazing and screaming something obscure about revenge.
It may sound harsh, but this is just EVE, and though the setbacks can be devastating, it also is what makes EVE so special.

Always check every offer twice, research the corps you are joining (they do the same with you), ah, I'll just link the old golden rules post: Golden Rules in Eve

This is probably the most important lesson he could have taught you - trust takes way more than two weeks to be built, and still be careful with people you've known for years. Be glad you learned this with only 60mil!

And as mentioned, well done on having the right attitude about it.

I hope that you stayed in the corp since you can kill a corp member without Concord interaction!

Don't mistrust every one. I'm also under 2 months old and today while chating with anothwr explorer (not a corp'y...just a random player) I received a 15M donation and a BM for the mag site I couldn't seem to nail down. No strings atatched

seems a bit of a waste of time for pennies ...

... i mean, if it was 600 mil or 6 bil, then maybe... but 60m? really?

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

The true lesson to learn is how to use that trick to make money for yourself.

PS. All Hail Britannia!

Noir. and Noir Academy are recruiting apply at www.noirmercs.com I Noir Academy: 60 days old must be able to fly at least one tech II frigate. I Noir. Recruits: 4:1 k/d ratio and can fly tech II cruisers.

Part of the appeal of eve is that things like this can happen and its a true unscripted thing to have to have your wits about you in a cut throat world, real time.

Feels more real and more what an MMO should be, not hemmed in and not real interactivity with other peeps.

On the bright side: you now have some corp history

I was paranoid when i first started of exact things like this, but in that paranoia I've exiled myself from joining corps because at 2 years old I have no corp history, therefore I will never be trusted to join a corp. You at least have a history, at a price.

and yea like u said above not everyone is evil. i recieved a donation of 250mil just chatting in the dust channel, giving encouragement to those who were new to PS3 controller

It is good that you are grateful. It could've been a much larger sum in a few weeks/months. Also, add him as Horrible standing and make his name public here, might get him into troubles. ;)

And as a side note, there are nice people in eve. I've met tons of 'em, you just gotto look at the right places. :)
