why do you play EvE Online?
Because I am established in it already
What drives you to log on everyday?
I don't
What is your force behind your impulses on this game?
"I spent so much time already"
Why this game over so many MMO's?
Because I am established in it already

I am CCP's model customer.

For me... tough question to answer.

Why I play... because it's free, and will be for a long, long time. What's my drive... well, my drive used to be, to see my enemies ended; ground to dust. This has happened. I'm out of enemies.

I suppose I still play to see what new ships and items will come out, where the plot (what little remains) will go, that sort of thing.

I suppose I still play... because I hope for something I'll really enjoy. Even though it's been years since I've been excited to board a new ship... the hope is still there.

I couldn't find a proper racing game in a space setting with submarine physics, so I settled for eve which is two out of three. Still haven't found one, so that's what keep me p(l)aying.

I'm tired of fantasy environment and in need of sci-fi game with economy, craft, PvE and a bit of PvP. StarWars: Galaxies now closed so EVE is the only option.

1. I can't find the escape hatch on my pod.
2. I love to mine, build, make isk and buy new pretty stuff for my PvP main(s)
3. Spaceships are sexxy.
4. It gives my wife one more reason to think me a silly geek and laugh at me.
5. One more thing my teenage daughters just don't get.
6. Its one place where you can shoot at those that tick you off without going to jail.
7. I am trying to find Aroura so I can ask her out on a date.
8. I laugh, I cry, I kiss 60 bucks goodbye (A Month)
9. WoW is for weak
10. I have invested six years to training, building and exploration. Leaving would be like getting a law degree and change your mind and be a plumber.

11. So I can get on the forums and spout drivel like this endlessly.
12. I once farted in a pod. No dog to blame and no window. Hence, I am not in my right mind.
13. I wanted to be a goon once, but I failed the leg humping test. Now I am stuck here.
14. I like to see if I can bait people.... One day I hope to be a master baiter.
15. This game mixes well with Jack Daniels and Cheetohs - Drunk flying FTW.
16. I can get to number 16 and forget what the hell I was talking about....

1. I'm a space geek.

2. I love sandbox games and support as many of them as I can.

3. Actual loss in the game - ships, ISK, etc. Without the downs, the ups aren't as high.

1. Because I'm having fun
2. I don't log in everyday, but when I do it's either to join a fleet, or tinker with industry, which I really like for some reason.
3. I yearn to one day have ships constructed only of plex, and to lose them freely.
4. A few things, I'm part of a great community (though some disagree) and no matter what skill I'm at, even if I'm on this crap industry alt, i can hop in a rifter and contribute to something big. Can't do that with most other mmo's and their "you must be this level and have these items to play" crap.

It's cheap and it's all about overcoming other players rather than some predictable server-run script.
