…anyway, just tell the GM:s to take them down. Solicitation and OOG advertising is contrary to the TOS. You could also argue that they are abusive towards your personal belief system, adding a third rule to the mix that they're breaking.

Yes I've seen them.

Sadly they do not worship the HOLY GOAT, and as such cannot be taken seriously.

Darwin's theory of Evolution comes to mind.

Funny. Darwin was a Christian.

Have we spotted the main toon of the can preacher? Pirate

Nah, I'm agnostic. I'm am not so self sure that I think that I have the right either way to dictate to others whether God exists or not. It's their business and theirs alone.

I just find atheists equally annoying.

Hmm then to the Amarr your only worth is as a slave to the Amarr Empire. :)

By the way, since we're already talking, do you want to buy a rifter? I've got the cheapest rifters in Metropolis. If you can find a cheaper rifter, buy it!

There is clearly a simple solution to this. I will fly the route, find all of the cans you talk about and anchor similar cans within 2km of them stating 'There probably isn't a God, now go and enjoy your lives - Non-descript Rational Atheist'.

Sorted.

We should summon the Internet Space Jesus to this thread so he could explain why he probed the can preacher in the wormhole.

Religion and/or politics in the real world have no place in EVE.

That being said, I'd consider it if they paid well. Smile

I always found agnostics to be "the easy way out", not being able to stand by what they, or lack thereof, believe.

That being said, I can find plenty of atheists who sounds no brighter than your average religious zealot. You can't just look at a single example to understand the general consensus.

From personal experience, people who labelled themselves agnostic responded they did not believe in a specific god, therefore not committing to a specific religion. But when asked "do you believe A god exists", most responded positively along the lines of "I believe (there goes that word again) everyone makes their own personal god".

Any "fact" is essentially a belief until proven otherwise. Back when people used to think the Earth was flat their beliefs were not less wrong than today's based upon their observations. I think most atheists simply go along this method of thought; don't believe until proven otherwise.

So was Copernicus, Newton, Gallileo, Georges Lemaître (father of the Big Bang Theory)....and on and on and on. But the atheists only tend to pay attention when it's some local yokel that wants to witness the message to him/her.

God loves you... I think:

"I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children." (Leviticus 26:22)

"Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourself every girl who has never slept with a man." (Numbers 31:17-18)

"The Lord commands: "... slay old men outright, young men and maidens, little children and women" (Ezechial 9:4-6)

"When the Lord delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the males .... As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves." (Deuteronomy 20:13-14)

"You will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the Lord your God has given you." (Deuteronomy 28:53)

"The Lord said to Joshua [...] 'you are to hamstring their horses.' " (Exceedingly cruel.) (Joshua 11:6)

"... Go and smite the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead with the edge of the sword and; also the women and little ones.... every male and every woman that has lain with a male you shall utterly destroy." (Judges 21:10-12)

"This is what the Lord says: Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have; do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass .... And Saul ... utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword." (1 Samuel 15:3,7-8)

"The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their women with child ripped open." (Hosea 13:16)

"A curse on him who is lax in doing the LORD's work!
A curse on him who keeps his sword from bloodshed!" (Jeremiah 48:10)

Here's something to think about. The countries with the highest numbers of atheists also have the lowest rates of crime.

Why must a person believe something? Most people are socialized into a prepackaged religion with no factual bases.

Not buying what they are selling without a product demonstration is not the easy way out... It is being a smart shopper.

Underlined the part where you called atheists agnostics.

Atheism is the absolute 100% belief that there is no God, non-negotiable he does not exist. Agnostic means one has no faith and would not rather just pretend to know the answer like everyone else claims too. Accepts that there might be a god in a world of infinite possibilities.
