Why WT can stay in Plex and get no aggro?

Yesterday i made a disturbing observation. One War Target in a cloaky Cheetah stayed in a mayor plex and not getting any aggro from NPcs while he run down the button. I tried to chase him out of the plex several times, but anytime i came close to him, he just cloaked.

So my question: Why can a WT stay in a plex and NOT get aggro from his enemy NPCs????

If anybody does what the WT did, the plexing system is seriously broken and there is just no worth trying to defend a system.

NPC rats won't shoot you if you have decent standings with them. Even if they are the opposing militia faction.

Because "Working as intended" according to CSM and CCP. Until of course Caldari used it, then gallente CSM member who had used it for years claimed it was exploit and claimed it was bloody murder, etc.

Standings "feature". The NPC commanders are notorious for looking the other way when their friends show up to conquer their space. These are the same commanders who surrender plex after plex without one shot fired.

This is why it is important that our uncorruptable pod pilots join the militias now! Stop this wave of corruption that has swept through the NPC ranks!

We've been trying to work out if this "feature" works for the Navy in enemy high sec and from rumor and first hand observation, I'm nearly certain that it does. Just wondering what sort of faction standing one would require to be pseudo-immune to enemy NPC? 1.0? 2.0? Anyone care to enlighten me can simply send an email if you'd rather not post in thread. Much appreciated.

BTW, kudos to QCats nice to see you lot blasting away at Nulli given that our alliance seems to be not giving a CENSORED. Roll

I think she was in pretty much every militia except maybe minmatar? (She got top rank in Amarr militia IIRC, and did a stint as a caldari).

But don't tell damar that. She disagreed with him, so therefore she was gallente.

The most lol-worthy (bizarro) event I ever witnessed was Damar in some plex (Kehjari?) pointing Ankh's pod. Damar wouldn't outright kill her, and she wouldn't self-destruct (I guess it had something to do with "winning"). My guess was that this was going on for hours, but only Damar or Ankh could say for sure. After entering I got some warning like "Don't even think of interfering with this!" from Damar.

lol! What militia was ankh in at the time? (e.g. was she caldari and damar didn't want to take the standings hit for the destruction or something?)
