Supercapitals and billions

Let me introduce myself, I'm Gevlon, author of http://greedygoblin.blogspot.com, a blog focused on trading and other means of making ISK. Starting as a newbie to EVE less than half year ago, I reached 120B assets. Last month increase: 50B. With proper trading 4-800M/hour is possible.

Now I'm creating a corporation for two purposes. One is to get traders, industrialists and other good PvE players into supercapitals, the other is to finance nullsec sov warfare. Let me explain this part.

People assume that alliances, especially the ones with Tech re dirty rich. The truth is the opposite. Both Goons and TEST keep their booking published, showing that they have 200 and 750B income/month respectively. That looks huge, but half of it goes for upkeeping sov structures. Since they have around 10K pilots, they can spend 200B/2/10000 = 10M and 37M on one pilot. First day newbies have such amount from career agents. The rest of the alliances are even more impoverished due to no tech and can provide practically no support for fleet PvP.

Getting several billions a month isn't hard if someone is skilled in PvE, trading and industry. For such people however upkeeping proper fleet attendance is hard, both because of time issues and simply lack of interest. I would rather mine veld in a Bantham than spend my time in a small gang roam. So the alliances and the industrialist those who could finance them to keep PvP-ers in ships don't meet. Also, industrialist burn out soon since "what can one with 100B do"? Keep gathering wealth, watching the wallet number grow?

Goblinworks is a solution to this problem: this corp is created for those who are good in PvE/industry and ready to provide 1B/month to the ship reimbursement fund of a serious nullsec alliance, vastly increasing their power as they can field serious ships like Maelstroms, Rokhs, Abaddons with carrier support, free for the pilots. In turn, the members are not required to spend their time with PvP (they can if they want to) and have access to structures needed to build themselves supercapital ships.

If you are interested, either as a billionaire or as an alliance leader, please read up the details at http://greedygoblin.blogspot.com/2012/07/pve-ers-and-traders-must-contribute.html

Clarification to people who can't follow the "details" link and spam this topic with "OMG SCAM" nonsense. I won't get the 1Bs. The money go directly to the alliance wallet where the reimbursement fund is and I can't touch that.

You're either going to be endlessly mocked (I'm sure you'll deride every one of them as "M&S" or "l33ts" who in either case don't "get" it, though not in so few words) or ignored to fade into obscurity. Either has potential to be entertaining, so let me just go ahead and grab my popcorn and a seat with a view...

We don't come close to paying half of 750b for sov. 1/10th is probably an overestimate.

You, ah, seem to have forgotten the Hyperion. Also your plan is dumb, but I prefer small gangs to mining, so what do I know.

He's Caldari and obviously prejudiced against Gallente. Doesn't consider the Hyperion "serious". Should he?

Anyway, worth a shot. Greedy capitalists for a better tomorrow.

Count me in (this alt, at least). Application sent.

He must be talking about TEST. They are much bigger than you now, you know.

Sadly it's not even worth the effort-post to tell him why he's so endlessly wrong ... as when you do he just redacts things and acts like they were never there.

See: his supercap only fleet where the titans were fit with multiple warp disruptors (for tackling!)

No, not joking.

He's basically spent every hour available trading (buy low, sell high) and as a result of acting like a bot has decided he is a genius, and will soon take over nullsec.

Get in at the ground level for 1bil a month!

Also, it will make it 5x more satisfying to AWOX someone in his corp when you know they're paying to be in it.

hi i would like to join your illustrious space organization

however i have a few questions regarding your venture

1) who the hell is gonna trust you enough to pay you even a token amount of 1b a month

B) a system you wish to conquer has a cynosural jammer deployed -- how does your supercap force deal with this? are subcap pilots also paying you 1b/mo for the privilege of being in your ranks

iii) what are your investment plans once you abscond with the first month's fees

How is this different from the usual pets/renters?

Gevlon is just offering more ISK/member to make call to arms optional. If your renter is paying that much each month, then said renters might have some value.
