A "little thing" they should implement that would be AWESOME!

You know when you're training towards something and you have room left in your skill queue and once that skill is completed you meet the prereqs for the skill you have been working towards?

ie. youre training for T2 rockets and your Rockets V is 7h until completion and next is Rocket Specialization

But you cant start training it until Rocket V is completed so instead you gotta put some other skill in there just to keep your queue full until you can log in and set the new one.

You should be able to queue that skill as long as the prereqs will be met by the time it starts training.

This has been proposed many times.

I think the problem is skill books.

To allow queuing a skillbook, it must also be possible to de-queue a skillbook. To do that means the skillbook has to both be able to removed or added to your inventory.

When you are in a station it is trivial.

When you are in a ship, skill books can be removed from your cargohold, but if your cargohold is full, you can't add a book to it without overfilling it (possible though, as there are already mechanics in place for overfilling).

When you are pod, you don't have a cargohold.

Move the skill book to your clone station if cant store in cargo, simple.
This should have been added years ago, CCP should get on it.

Also, being able to pull skillbooks out of your head allows you to move them for free anywhere you want. Put them in your head, reset medclone station, self destruct, unplug from your head.

Also, because it is so easy to queue another skill instead.

One can queue a long following skill, and when you have a chance switch. Or, you can have a very low priority padding skill, and queue that whenever you need to pad a few hours, so that it gets trained eventually.

I'd suggest being able to plug in any skill book you want, but, cannot actively train on it until the prereqs are met. That means that if the last prereq for that skill is in the queue, you cannot add that unmet skill to the queue.

Right now, the only time prereqs for skills are tests, is when you inject the skillbook.

Not when you put it on to train.

This is why you will be able to, when the destroyer and battlecruiser skill changes go through, train racial BS 2 (assuming you have it at 1), without racial BC 4

Woo! CSM XI!

Moving valuable skill books out of null couldn't be any easier.

I think is a trivial thing. At worst you lose a few hours/days training something else than the specialization. I can live with that.

Change it so that the injection itself is queued. The skillbook remains in your hangar until the skill is about to begin. The game then looks in your hangar for the book. If it's still there, it is consumed and the skill begins training. If it is not in your hangar (or presumably your cargohold, not to screw over supercap pilots and WH dwellers), the skill fails to start and your training halts. (Or continues with the next skill in queue, if any.)
