Important key bindings for gaming pad

I use a Razer Nostromo Gaming Keypad for PC gaming. Its been amazingly nice for other games and I really can't imagine playing most games without it. So, I've been trying to figure out what keybindings are 'important' enough to warrant a spot on the board. With a simple set up I can have access to 60 keybindings without changing profiles (binding shift, control, and alt to the pinky finger keys is AMAZING). So, the number isn't important, but I'd like to know about what would be the the most important ones to have on the keybindings.

So I'm asking what needs to be bound for easy use. I'm guessing the F keys for modules, align to, and warp/jump... what else?

What do you do in eve?

If you're a pilot of combat ships you might want to consider:

Drone related short cuts
Weapon reload
gulftobay
Mesotopia

One of my favorites to add is F10 for the solar system/star map. For exploration I use it constantly.

-Approach
-Orbit
-Keep at range
-Align
-Warp
-Dock/jump

-Ctrl - Lock target
-Shift + Ctrl - Unlock Target
-Alt - Look at object or reset when clicking on empty space

EDIT: ---- All the actions above work in two ways, either by pressing them once when an overview entry is selected or by holding them down and clicking an item in space or a target or an overview entry.

Alt + C, N, G - Open Ship cargo, Ships hanger, Items hanger (atm the default for Alt C is to open inventory and current ship cargo has nothing, I remapped inventory to Alt I and cargo to Alt C, in inferno 1.2 it seems that cargo was remapped back to Alt C.....I think, it could just be my SiSI settings)

-Drones engage
-Drone return to drone bay
-Drone return and orbit
(For these I use ` (accent) Alt R and Alt O, the ` works great for me by letting me press ` and F1 together easily.

How F-keys work:
F1-F8 - Top row modules, Ctrl F9 clear UI for screenshots, F10 opens map, F11 opens sidebar map, F12 opens help menu
Alt + F1-F8 - Middle row modules and yes even Alt F4 work this way, you'll simply turn on the 4th mid slot
Ctrl + F1-F8 - Bottom row modules

Shift + any above - overheat that module, ex: to overheat and armor repper press Shift Ctrl F1

Note that on the HUD the modules do NOT have to match their actual placement on the ship. You can move important mid slot modules up to the top row for easy activation with the F-keys

-Ctrl + R - Reload weapons

See edit above ^

Personally, I have a gamepad (G13), but I never use it for Eve. The biggest issue is that it makes it much more difficult to do things like typing to people if your hand is on the gamepad instead of the keyboard.

The only keybinds I have set up is my G510 keyboard has the fleet broadcasts mapped to most of the G-keys on the side. Mostly because they had no default bind and I didn't want to learn some weird bind for them, so I made a very odd and unused bind and mapped it to the G-Keys.

These are almost exactly what I have mapped to the top row (only 7 buttons so toggle lock instead lock & unlock) of my G-13 in almost the same order. I have Lock toggle and jump at the corners for emergency pounding, though.
I then have the next three rows for modules, although I don't have them in the traditional high/mids/lows order. Got my web mapped to my guns and reload, got all my defense buttons mapped together, have cloak and MWD next to each other below align, etc.

Not sure what to do with the joystick though, currently I have it mapped to drones which seems weird, but works.

Make sure to also get Overheat mapped for your mods. I find it best to just have shift + button = overheat that mod.

Stop ship (control+space)
Open scanner (alt+D)
drones attack
drones orbit
drones into bay
overload (either whole rack or specific F keys)

And simple key presses like F1 etc

Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude.
