Laptop Screen Dimming

This is a problem that was fixed for a long time, now it is back when ever I use SiSi:

Toshiba L505D-S5983 laptop screen dims to 50% after logging in to SiSI. Requires reboot to fix. No issues on TQ.

Using the motherboard graphics chip set : AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200

All drivers current (including DiretX) and WORK FINE ON TQ.

Please don't let this issue make it onto TQ. This was a really annoying issue that I thought was fixed a long time ago.

Perhaps there is a workaround already? Can we tell EvE to use system gamma? Is there some switch to tell EvE to revert back to system gamma upon exit?

Please post here is you have the same or a similar problem with SiSi (unless there is already a thread for this problem).

it is a driver problem with older HD4k mobility boards, you need to go into the properties of your eve launcher shortcut, go to compatibility and disable desktop composition.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

Excellent. Thanks. I'll try that.
